Amelia (pov)

I had to get out of there. I had nearly suffocated in LA, and New York was no better. Why was I going places where there were all these people? I couldn't breathe. So, now, I'm sitting in my NYC apartment looking down at Brooklyn Bridge, wondering where the Hell my life is going.

A knock at the door interrupted my train of thought. I ran to answer it, not eagerly, though. There he was, all the way in NYC to find me. To say "I'm sorry" again. "What are you doing here, Jake?"

"The polite thing to say would be 'Oh, Hello come in!'"He retorted, smiling. "Why did you leave? Why, when you know I love you?" He barged in, surveying my apartment. "I needed to get out of LA, I don't belong there."

He scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Please, NY is no better for you." His eyes were serious, and they scared me. Jake had never been that mean, and his tone sounded like he was bullying me.

"I don't need you to tell me what's good and what's not good for me," I retorted, even though he was right. New York wasn't for me. It was three times the size as LA, which means more people I have to try to hide from.

"Amelia, I'm not TRYING to hurt you!" He yelled, taking my shoulders. "I know what's best for you." I was angry now, so angry. How dare Jake just walk back into my life and act as though nothing ever happened? As if he knows what's best for me.

"Get out," I said firmly. "I don't want you here anymore." His eyes grew somber, but he obeyed. "Amelia," he said at the door. "I love you."

Then, he left. I let him go.

How stupid of me.

Jake (pov)

It was painful to leave her there, all alone. I shouldn't have left. I told her I loved her an that was it. How could everything we had be over just like that? No- everything we have.

I ran back to her door and pounded on it until she opened it, tears streaming like rivers down her face. "I'm sorry," I said, before kissing her passionately. "I'm never going to let you go."

She chuckled against me. "That makes you sound like a raper," she joked. "Is what you said true?" She questioned, looking up at me with those beautiful eyes of hers.

"Yes."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Well, then, I love you, too."

She pulled me into the apartment and shut the door.
