Jake (pov)

Once Friday rolled around, I was nervous about my date with Amelia. Her photos of me had been published on my website yesterday, and my phone was blowing up with feed.

After work Friday, I brought my mom and sister, Jenny out for lunch on Rodeo Drive. They must've stopped 100 times to look at something in a store.

We sat at a booth and ordered drinks. "Why the sudden lunch invitation, Jake?" Jenny asked me. "Excuse me, are you complaining about a free lunch?" I joked. She chuckled. "No, I'm just saying."

I laughed and beamed a mile wide grin. I glance to the floor, still cheesin. "Uh oh, Jake! Is there another girl" My mom asked. I blushed. My mom and Jenny started squeeling.

"Okay shut up!" I yelled playfully. "Her name is Amelia, and we're going on our first date tonight." My mom shot me an "I'm a proud mom" look. Jenny just smirked. "Little Jake is growing up too fast," she joked.

"Where are you taking her?" my mom asked. "Somewhere special," I replied. Definitely special.

Bowling. Of all the clubs and restaurants in Hollywood and LA, Jake took me bowling. I can't say I was surprised because he's really laid back. Yet, I thought he would try to impress me (not that I needed to be!)

We rented our shoes and sat down to put them on. "You have really small feet," Jake joked. The bowling alley was empty, but the minute "Day Without Your Love" came on the radio, everyone was dancing. Even the old people.

We put our names into the score keeping machine (I have no clue what it's called) and started playing.

Every time Jake got a strike or a spare, he did this really cute victory dance where he did a hip thrust with his eyes rolled up and his bottom teeth biting his top lip. I laughed my guts out until I had to bowl.

I was laughing so hard that I only knocked down 4 pins. The game turned out to grant Jake as the winner. Once he beat me, I had to buy us pizza. "It's only fair," Jake said, laughing.

We played another game and he won again. After, we returned our bowling shoes and Jake drove me home. "You don't have to walk me to the door," I said when he got out of the car.

"I insist," he said, taking my hand. We took the elevator to the 11th floor and stopped at my door. "I had fun," I said, unlocking my door. "Me too," Jake said.

I felt my eyelids get heavier as Jake's lips landed on mine. "Goodnight, Amelia," he said, walking away. Goodnight Jake, I said to myself.

Holy shit! Jake Miller just kissed me!
