I woke up a few hours with Jake holding me in his arms. We had made love, and I expected him to want me to go back to LA with him. Yet, I had grown quite fond of New York City. There was a missing piece, though.

I miss Jenny. She and I had grown quite close while Jake and I were dating. She is one of my best friends, but I had been fooled my whole life. In 3rd grade, Sarah Wilden pretended to be my friend, when, behind my back, her friends were making fun of me.

It was all so long ago, but the memories were still clear in my mind. My heart jumped a few feet in shock when Jake's hands stroked my arms.

"Hey," I said gently, kissing his cheek. He groaned, stretching his back out. "It's too early," he groaned, pulling me down next to him. I burried my face in his warm neck and tried to go back to sleep.

"Do you want me to go back to LA?"

He opened his eyes and ran his fingers through my wild hair. "You don't have to, but I would miss you if you didn't." I smiled, looking down to avoid his eyes.

"You're beautiful," he said, "when you try to avoid my eyes." His chest was warm against me as I kissed him. "We should get up," I said, pulling the covers off of myself.

Five Hours Later

Jake and I were waiting in the airport for our flight to LA. I sold my apartment and was hopping on a plane with Jake. He made me feel ambitious and outgoing. He gave me this feeling like I wanted to just run and yell and fly.

It was love.

Once we boarded, Jake took a seat next to me. The flight to our layover in Denver was four hours, and it was 1:00 A.M the next day by the time we finally got to LA. He took me back to his apartment and I instantly fell asleep in his bed.

With Jake next to me.

The next morning, I woke up to Amelia drooling in my shoulder. She's really cute when she sleeps. That's why it hurt me so much to get out of bed. As my coffee was brewing, I felt someone's lips on my neck.

"Good morning," she said, kissing me. I pulled her into my chest and stared into her eyes. "I love you," I proclaimed, pecking her on the lips. "But, I do still have to go to the studio."

She frowned with that wild red hair of hers flopping around on her head. "You better miss me," she said, before walking into the bathroom to shower.
