*Sherlock POV*
"Sherlock? Are you even listening to me?" I lift my eyes quickly to the short man standing in front of me, his hands placed tightly upon his hips. John raises one eyebrow, waiting for an answer and with a frustrated expression upon his face. I sigh and lock my phone, knowing fully well that my angry birds wouldn't have saved.
The sacrifices I must do!
"I hear you loud and clear." I place my hands on the arms of my grey leather armchair, tapping a small rhythm with my forefinger. John scoffs at me and folds his arms across his chest.
"You didn't hear a single thing that I was saying did you! This is important Sherlock! This is my wedding we're talking about!"
"Yes I know! It's tomorrow and you're feeling nervous! It's all very stereotypical of you John!" John glares at me and scoffs again. He's been doing that a lot recently! He flops onto the sofa and rubs his face with his hands. I turn my full attention towards him.
"I'm scared she'll say no." I furrow my brows, not really sure of why he would believe such a thing. I notice his eyes beginning to turn a potent shade of red, and I patrol over to him, knowing that he needs a shoulder to cry on. I sit next to him quietly and stay silent, waiting patiently for him to elaborate.
"She's been going out a lot. She says she's meeting up with Janine but she never does. She's lying to me about where she is going. She's also getting these texts... these texts are taking up her life and it's as if the texts are more important than me! I'm afraid..im afraid she's cheating..." my heart skips a beat. I know exactly where she is going and who the texts are from, and yet I cannot tell him. I cannot comfort him in the slightest because then he would be involved. He would know about Mary and then he'd know about Jim... I cant let him be caught!
"I know there is a good reason. There always is with her. And believe me, whatever she is doing, it's all for you." John turns his head to look at me, his eyes puffy and red. A confused look appears onto his face, and my insides churn because I cannot tell him. I know that Mary loves him with all her heart, and I'm slightly disappointed in John for believing Mary would actually do a thing like that. And to him! "You know Mary. She would never do anything to hurt you. She loves you too much."
"Maybe I'm just looking into things too much." I chuckle slightly at his comment, not only to lighten the mood but because he pretty much convinced himself. I pat his shoulder and he shines a light smile. "I should probably get going." He stands up and brushes the wrinkles out of his clothes.
"Good luck for tomorrow John!" He smiles softly again and then exits the household.
I sigh, wondering where my 'comforting' attitude came from. I was nice for once. It was a strange sensation...but at least it convinced John to shut out his anxiety. Hey, go me! I've been good!
I doubt it'll happen again, so John should be grateful!
I walk into my bedroom and stare at the suit hanging on my wardrobe door. It's a black suit, paired with a silver tie and black shoes. Plus I have to wear flowers. It's a big day tomorrow. Not just because John and Mary are getting married, but also because I know something is going to go wrong.
I need to prepare myself.

The doors of the church fly open, as a happy couple prance out arm in arm. John and Mary got married! I follow out behind them, surrounded by happy smiles and laughs. It's disgraceful. It's just a wedding! A signed document! I don't get a celebration when I sign for my parcels from the post man! I should though - the things I order off of Amazon do deserve their own celebration.
