Chapter 12: Heartbroken

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing.

I slowly got up out of bed and walked to my phone

"Hi." I said

"Hey!" a familiar voice replied

"So, I was sleeping. And who is this?"

"Get up! And it's Micah. Duh!"

"Oh okay hi."

"You already said that." she said laughing

"Oh. Sorry, I'm really tired and, I am up."

"Well you wanna go to the mall with me, Electa, Kassidy and the boys?"

"I don't know. I'm not really in the mood for shopping right now."

"Please. It will be fun!"

"Fine. I guess."

"Alright we'll be over in 20 minutes. Be ready."

I hung up and walked over to my closet. I picked out a red short sleeve shirt with white hearts on it and some white shorts. I put on my shirt and shorts then went and put on my white flip flops.

I got my bag ready and walked out the door.

"Hey! You look beautiful!" Cam said while giving me a hug

"Thank you." I said smiling

We arrived at the mall around 11:35.

As I begin to step out of the van. I heard screaming and then seen about 50 girls run up to Cam, Nash, Hayes and Brent.

Kassidy, Electa, Micah and myself quickly walked through the crowd of screaming girls and walked into the mall.

"Oh my goodness there crazy!" Electa said

"I know. There like animals." Micah said while laughing

We all walked over to the jewelry store and were looking around.

My phone buzzed and it was a message from Cameron,

"Hey. Where are you guys?"

I responded,

"At the jewelry store."

"Meet us by the fountain!"

"Alright, see you in a few."

"Hey guys! The boys want us to meet them by the fountain."

We began walking towards the fountain when a girl stopped me and said,

"Hey, you're Cameron's girlfriend right?"

"Yeah, that's me."

"Well then I think you'd like to see this."

She grabbed her phone and showed me a picture of her and Cam kissing.

I was speechless. I stood there in shock until the girl said,

"Sorry. Guess your not good enough for him."

I began walking away quickly.

"Lexi!" Micah said

"No just leave me alone!"

I ran out the mall doors and called for a cab.

My phone kept ringing and buzzing and vibrating.

Cameron kept calling and texting me. Kassidy, Micah and Electa wouldn't stop asking if I was okay.

"I'm so over this" I thought to myself

The amount of hate me and my friends were receiving was ridiculous.

I arrived at my house and walked through the door.

"Hey honey. Did you have fun at the mall?" My mom said looking over to me

"Yes. It was very fun." I said with a fake smile on my face

I knew if I told her what had happened, she would want to know the whole story and I just wanted to hop into my bed and sleep.

I threw on some comfy shorts with a comfy shirt and laid in my bed.

I got a call from Cameron.

"Hey. What's wrong? What happend?"

"I'm just tired of the hate that me and my friends are getting. It's stressing me out." I said as I began to cry

"Lexi, please don't cry. It will be just fine. They'll forget about it soon."

"No they won't. I'm sorry Cam but I need sometime alone. I can't do it anymore."

"What do you mean?"

"We just need a break....I just need a break."

"No, Lexi. I love you. Please don't do this. I need you." I could hear in his voice that he was crying

"I'm so sorry Cameron." I hung up the phone and laid in my bed crying
