Trust (A Jai Brooks Imagine)

Chapter 5

May's P.O.V.

I feel really bad about yesterday. I shouldn't of acted like that. I have to apologize to him today. I really can't be bothered for school today. I hate seeing everyone there. Jai has been texting me all night about what happened. I haven't told him but I promised I would tell him at school. Nothing bad happened. Just me.

I walked into the school gates with Jai. He hasn't said a word since this morning. He walked me to gym in silance. I wanted to know what his problem was.

"Are you okay?" I asked. Looking at my feet.

"Yes, why?" he replied, confused.

"You haven't talked to me since this morning."

"Sorry. I feel a little sick."

"Oh." I gave him some water. He looked a little pale.

"Are you gonna tell me about yesterday?"

"Yeah, he was really nice to me, but I was being a rude cow to him."

"My Girl!" Jai smiled.

"No, I feel bad. I'm gonna apologize to him in Math."

"Okay." He said. He sat down on the chair that was holding the door open. Jai was sweating a lot. I was worried.

"Jai..." No answer. "Jai?" Still. He fell to the floor not being able to get up. "JAI? ARE YOU OKAY?" I was shouting and everyone in the hallway could see what was happening. Jai had collasped on the floor, trying to catch his breath. Matthew ran to us and Brent called the nurse.

"JAI, ARE YOU OKAY?" by this time I was in tears.

"May, I'm fine..." he replied, but he was so quiet. The nurse ran to Jai with some water. She told everyone to move and give him some air. I was crying on Matthew's shoulder as Jai was being taken to the medical room.

"I'll be fine May, I promise." Jai said holding my hand. I never took my eyes off of him. I watched him as he walked away.

"He'll be fine. What lesson do you have now?" Matthew is one of my best friends. He has been here to help ever since I was a reckless 10 yearold.

"Gym. I'll be fine, you can go with Brent now." 

He nodded and walked off giving me a smile. Everyone was talking about Jai. I couldn't get my mind off of him. He was so pale and sweaty. He looked so ill.

Math Class.

Jai came back to Math class looking fine as usual. He said he was having trouble breathing. I was so scared. I thought something had happened to him. Thank god for saving him. I went to my seat and waited for Brent so I could apologize. 

He finally arrived and gave me an awkward smile. I smiled back.

"Hey" I said.

"um, Hi."

"I'm sorry for my rudeness yesterday. I don't know what was wrong with me that night. I hope you could come round another time so we can finish this project?"

"Yeah. It's alright." he had the biggest smile on his face but then faded into an evil smile...
