Trust (A Jai Brooks Imagine)

Chapter 6

May's P.O.V

There is a math project I have to do with Brent Rivera. There are lots of things wrong with that fact. How can you make a Math Project. That's the dumbest thing ever. And out of all douchbags in the school I was put with the top douchbag of all. 

I made my way to my locker to get my math books. It sucks having maths everyday in school. And I hate every second of it. I grabbed my books and shut my locker. Sheila saw me and wanted to talk. "May, I think this note was for you. I found it in my locker." I took the piece of paper. It was a yellow piece of paper and it said 'May, meet me in the library at lunch.' I knew is was Jai judging by his handwriting. I put the note in my pocket. I was confused on why he should of just told me in Math. 

I walked into Math late as usual. I can't get to maths on time since P.E. is before it. "May and Sheila you are late." The teacher groaned. I ignored him and made my way to my seat.

"Hey." Brent said.

"Hello." I replied. 

"Are busy after school?" I think I know where this is going.

"No. I don't think so." 

"Okay, well I'll come round after school at 5 yeah?" No I don't want to.

"...Okay."

I turned my head to look at Jai. He gave a cute smile. I smiled back.

After maths, Jai came running towards me. "What did he say?" He asked. "He's coming mine after school for that project." 

"When did Brent start doing homework?" Jai chuckled. I shrugged. But to be honest, Brent never does homework. So it's kinda unusual he's coming to do homework with me. 

"I gotta find Luke. He owes me money. Meet me after school near my car. I'll drop you home."

"Wait. That note wasn't from you?" I was confused.

"What note?" Jai was confused too.

"Don't worry." "Okay see you." He gave a quick kiss and ran off. I made my way to the library. I was kinda scared. This person didn't leave a name.

I walked into the library and smiled at the old woman at the desk. I walked further down and found Jacob. He looked up and smiled.

"So you got my note." He looked at me. He gave me a warm hug. Jacob is just another boy in my art class. I don't know what he wants and I was afraid. 

"I need to warn you about Brent. Listen. I heard him talking to Matthew about you. He was saying how he can't wait to go to your house for some "Fun" and how "He can't wait to piss off Jai". I needed to tell you this because I don't want you caught up in his shit, he's a s..." I cut Jacob off. "Thank you so much Jacob. Some friend Matthew was." I was really shocked that Matthew wouldn't tell me about this. I thought him and I were bestfriends. "May, just be careful please." I don't know Jacob that well but I want to get to know him. He so sweet telling me this.

"Thanks Jacob. I will be." And then I walked off. I was beyond pissed at Matthew. I just wanted to know why he would tell me.

I saw him walk past me and it looked like he was avoiding me. What a douche. I decided to tell Sheila what just happened and get some advice from her. But first, I wanted to know what was Matthew's problem.

I literally walked up to Matt and looked him in the eye. "What do you want?" He looked pissed.

"What's your problem. Why are you acting like an asshole?"

"You really don't know do you." I was so confused.

"May, we have been friends for what feels like forever. I've liked you ever since I was 8. But now you are with that Jai kid. Do you know what it feels like to have your crush going out with someone else. No. Because YOU'RE the crush. You obviously don't feel the same way towards me and I just don't think we could be friends." That last part fucking stabbed me.

"Are you saying we can't be friends because of your feelings towards me?"

Really sorry for breaking my promise and short chapter. I have been a really busy bitch but I am trying my hardest x
