Trust (A Jai Brooks Imagine)

Chapter 7

Previously:

"May, we have been friends for what feels like forever. I've liked you ever since I was 8. But now you are with that Jai kid. Do you know what it feels like to have your crush going out with someone else. No. Because YOU'RE the crush. You obviously don't feel the same way towards me and I just don't think we could be friends." That last part fucking stabbed me.

"Are you saying we can't be friends because of your feelings towards me?"

May's P.O.V.

Matt looked at me and I swear it looked like he was about to cry. "Don't put it like that. I'm always seeing you and Jai together and wishing that it could be us. Do you know how jealous I am of Jai? My feelings towards you are very strong. I need you. And the only way I could get rid of these feelings is that I should stay away from you. So please. Just go. Pretend we never met."

How could he do this to me. This is ridiculous. I feel like I've just lost my world. I walked away in tears. I went to cry in the toilet but I ran into Sheila and Megan.

"May, what's wrong?" Sheila had worry in her eyes.

"I'll be okay. Don't worry."

"You're crying a lot. I can't just leave it." Sheila looked angry. I don't know if she's angry at me.

"I'm gonna get Jai." Megan walked off but I stopped her.

"Don't!" She looked at me and was confused.

"May, what the fuck happened?" Sheila actually looked like she cared.

"Matthew. He doesn't wanna be friends with me just because he likes me. And Brent said some weird shit to him yesterday and he never told me."

"What shit?" They said at the same time.

"Brent apparently said to Matt that he can't wait to have some 'Fun' at my house and how he's gonna piss of Jai. Jacob told me in the library. That note was from him."

Megan and Sheila still looked confused. "Jacob who?" Megan asked.

"Jacob Whitesides from art class." I replied. Their confused faces then turned into relieved faces.

"Okay. So Brent was planning to do some 'Fun' with you and he told Matthew. Matthew doesn't wanna be friends with you just because he likes you?" Sheila looked confused again.

"Yeah." "May, to be honest, if I was you, I would tell Jai." Megan gave me some tissues so wipe my tears. 

"I don't want to tell Jai." "Fine, I'm gonna tell Luke." She ran off before I could even stop her. I ran into the toilet, locked the door and started crying so much.

After like, 8 minutes of crying, I heard Luke coming in. Cute how he doesn't care that it's a girls toilet.

"May?! Where the hell are you. Come out now. I swear I will get Jai right now. You have 10 seconds."

He didn't bring Jai? I unlocked the door and walked out. Luke saw me and ran to me with Sheila and Megan behind him.

"Sheila told me. Listen, they're both douchbags. Don't let them get to you. If Brent touches you, me, Jai, Beau, James and Skip will deal with them. But you gotta tell Jai." I nodded and walked outta the toilet with the rest.

We went to the luch table were we all usually sit. There sat Jai, James, Beau, Daniel, Summer and Annabelle. I sat next to Jai.

"What's happened?" Jai automatically said once he saw me. 

"Brent is planning to piss you off by having 'fun' with me. He told Matthew. Matt never told me about this because he doesn't wanna be friends with me because he has feelings for me."

"So who told you about this?!" Jai was shouting. I was terrified.

"Jacob."

"Who?"

"Jacob Whitesides from art."

"Well at least you've found out about this." Jai looked so angry. It looked like he was gonna stab someone. "I'm gonna get that cunt. And Matthew? I don't get it."

"I thought Matt would tell me something since him and I WERE bestfriends." I replied, still crying in Jai's Nirvana t-shirt.

"Were?" Jai was still confused.

"He doesn't wanna be friends with me because he has feelings for me. But don't do anything please. Just leave him." I was terrified by this point.

"Fine. But I'm still gonna get that Brent kid." He looked certain he was gonna do something to Brent. 

Brent and Matthew walked by giving my table the ugliest look you can ever receive. Then Brent suddenly puts his middle finger up at Jai. That's when Jai lost it. He literally had red in his eyes. He stormed towards Brents table and grabbed Brent by his shirt.

"You think you're so tough and smart! Meet me at Tumbling Bae area after school and we will see who is tough. Bitch." He threw him down to his table.

"Yeah we will. Pussy." Brent replied.

"Fuck you!" Jai was super angry. Jacob came and sat with us and left Brent and his little group.

"Are you guys okay?" He asked. "I'm okay." I said.

"Never better." Jai mumbled.
