As I uncrumpled the paper I sat down on a stool in front of all three of the guys. All eyes were on me. I took a deep breathe before I started. I was about to begin until Eazy was snickering and shaking his head, at me.
"What the hell is so funny?" I asked irritated.
"Nothing," he answered trying to calm down. "I just, I have never heard a girl rapper before. Girls don't rap."
"Fuck you then! You have no idea what the fuck I can do. Bet your short ass can't even spit some shit yourself. Fucking crumby ass motherfucker!"
He glared at me and silenced himself. I relaxed myself and stared at the paper. Seconds later I started rapping out loud. My voice was loud and deep. My normal talking voice was like a normal 17 year old girls voice. When I rapped, it was all different and something new for me. I loved it. My eyes traced over the lyrics as I continued my mini song. When I finished, Dre and Eazy had stunned looks on their faces, just staring right at me.
"How was that?" I asked.
"Damn!" They exclaimed in unison.
"Well shit, you might be better than Run DMC," Dre said.
"You can really rap huh?" Eazy asked.
"Damn right," I said hopping off the stool. Cube nodded and grinned at me.
"I told y'all she was good," Cube said.
"Nigga hush," I said punching his arm.
After Cube took his turn rapping I was sure that Eazy were satisfied with what they heard. And if he wasn't, I wasn't gonna lose sleep over it. I know we're talented.
"So what happens next?" I asked.
"I don't know," Dre replied. "But aye both of you come to Doo Too's tomorrow night to perform. Y'all down?"
"Hell yeah, we'll be there," Cube said.
"No doubt," I said.
"Cool."
I heard a pager go off and checked to see if it was mine, it wasn't.
"Yo I'm outta here," Eazy said. Must've been his pager. "Talk to you later Dre."
"Aight E," they dapped and Eazy left.
"Nice meeting y'all," he called out to me and Cube.
"Come on Cube let's go enjoy the party," I said. I hope this works out for us.
