Everything went completely white, you were scared and alone. "Hello big brother are you there?" You turned around and saw two big doors begin to open up. You hesitated for a moment and ran in hoping to find your brother alive and well. You entered only to find you are back to reality but not to your excitement you find something in front of you reaching out to you. "Brother?" You call out but find the thing who is not your brother but not even human at all. You feel a great amount of pain on your side to see your left arm taken away from you and you were left there screaming at the top of your lungs. You kept crying out for help but no one came, then after a few seconds you see a soldier come running to find you and that is all you see until you black out.

Your eyes start flutter open and you were now on a hospital bed. "Where am I, the last thing I saw was a soldier running towards me." You thought. You look around to see blurs all around you and all you could hear was muffled voices. Your vision is clear enough to see doctors surrounding you everywhere. "It is a miracle she is still alive." one voice said. "A girl at that age shouldn't have to go through this." another voice spoke. Then out of all the unfamiliar voices there was one voice you immediately recognized. "She has been through hell and back and she still managed to survive." The voice belonged to Colonel Roy Mustang. "Mustang?" You said slowly. He gave a look of anger as if his face was trying to say "How the bloody hell could you do the ultimate taboo." But then his face turned into relief with a look trying to say "Thank God you are alive." Tears began to form at the corners of your eyes again but not in sadness but only in relief that you managed to survive. You look to your left to see your left arm completely gone. "I guess I'll need a replacement for my arm huh." You say jokingly. "How long will the recovery take?" You questioned one of the doctors. "About three or four years." You nod and speak. "I'll do it in one." The doctors looked at you as if you were insane but Mustang saw the fire in your eye that will never burn out.  Following the aftermath of Matthew's death and your recovery of your arm, you decided to head back to the Hughes house in central but also once you got back there you decided you would go and be an official alchemist, a dog of the military but with a new arm, an automail arm. You would sometimes look down at your arm not in sadness but as determination to regain the arm you lost.  All during the train ride back to central you kept thinking about what Matthews final words, "Keep moving and live." Those were the final words that would always echo through your mind and through out your heart making the fire in your eyes grow larger and larger every minute.
