Chapter 3

"Y/N!"

Edward couldn't believe it was you and was completely shocked to see you. He hasn't seen you since he left to become a state alchemist. "Edward, Alphonse it's nice to you again" you said with a closed eyed smile. "Y/n its great to see you again too." Alphonse responds. You look at Edward who was staring at you, examining your body from head to toe wondering what he is seeing is even real. "Edward you ok?" you asked worriedly while waving a hand in his face to try and bring him back to his senses. Alphonse laughs "Oh I think brother is just glad and a little shocked to see you again." You smiled and then thought of an idea. "Hey, I know why don't we go grab something to eat maybe Edward will feel better after that." Alphonse nods in agreement and you drag Edward by the hand to a nearby diner. He is snapped back to reality from the touch of your hand as he sees himself being dragged off to a nearby diner by you. As you all sit down at a booth in the corner of the diner, Edward orders a sandwich and a drink and you order just a coffee. After a moment of silence, Edward finally gets the courage to speak. "So y/n tell me, what are you doing all the way out here." Y/n looks at him and takes out her silver pocket watch. Edward and Alphonse are in shock to see what you held in your hand. "You're a state alchemist?!" they said in unison. You nod, "Yup I'm an electric alchemist." You say with a big smile on your face. "An electric alchemist?" both boys question. You put your two fingers on your right hand together and snapped your fingers and sparks of electricity come flying out. Both boys are in awe at what you can do. But then a thought came to Edward's mind. "Hey Y/n I just remembered where's your brother Matthew?" Edward asked. "Oh yeah I haven't seen him either." Alphonse agreed. The smile that was placed on your face had slowly drooped down into slight sadness. Before you could answer the question placed on you a waitress came to your table, snapping you back into reality. "More coffee ma'am?" You were quick to answer "Oh um yes please that would be great, thank you." You sip your coffee while trying to think of an excuse. "He's just been busy right now so we can't always be together. Enough about him tell me what you two have been doing all this time." Trying to avoid the question as much as possible. Edward and Alphonse looked at you weird but brushed it off for now.
