Chapter 8

You wake up a little earlier than usual and decided to get ready before everyone else to head up to the roof to have a little time to your self. You comb your messy h/l h/c and left it down. then you put on a f/c shirt with f/c leggings with black boots that a had a tall enough heel and a white scarf. After finished getting ready you headed to the roof to watch the sunrise, it calms you when you need to relax. While watching the sunrise, an interesting thought came to your mind when you thought about last night. Those thoughts in your mind immediately turned your face red. "He put his arm around me, touched my face and wiped my tears away!" You were squealing, but it was a little hard not to be loud with all these thoughts running through your mind. You decide to head downstairs to your room to see if anyone was awake. You open to find no one in the living room and decide to go to Edward's room to go wake him up. You knock on the door and start to open up thinking he is still asleep. "Edward, we need to leave soon, we have to-." Your words were cut off when you saw him getting dressed half-naked with only pants on but no shirt. "Oh morning Y/n, let me grab my shirt and we can all head out." You were speechless and red in the face, before he could say anything else, you run out of the room as quickly as you could before your face got any hotter as it is. "What is wrong with me I thought he was just sleeping but apparently not."You tried to fan yourself to cool yourself down but the image of him kept coming back to your mind. You kept trying to calm yourself down until you hear a voice speak from behind you. "Oh good morning Y/n." the young boy's spoke, it was Alphonse. His voice made you jump in fright, still flustered at what you just saw. "Oh yeah morning Al." you decide to go into the living room with Alphonse to get your thoughts together before you three head on over to HQ to find out more on Shou Tucker. As you sat down in the living room waiting for Edward to finish getting ready and head out more thoughts kept running through your mind. "Why am I thinking about this now this is insane he is my best friend, I can't develop feelings for him now, although he did look pretty cute with no shirt on" You slap your face to snap back into reality. "NO I can't think like this is Edward, he's my best friend, then why is my heart beating so quickly, shit!."

{Time skip in Mustangs office} 

"So Colonel Mustang who is this Shou Tucker I've heard about, I mean I know he's an alchemist?" Edward says while you were still trying to figure out what was going on with you in the morning."Was I sick, why was i saw hot and my heart ready to beat out of my chest ughh this is so complicated." Alphonse snapped you back into reality and you saw everyone staring at you. "Are you ok Y/n, you look a little red?" Edward questioned you. Your eyes widened because you didn't realize you were still thinking about this morning and you quickly though of a response "Um yea I'm fine nothing is wrong." You laugh lightly. You and Edward got back to business and took a look at Shou Tuckers' record file. "He is the sewing-life alchemist who did some heavy research on chimera transmutation, I'll introduce you two to him." You looked excited hoping to find a clue on the philosopher's stone. In the car on the way to Shou Tucker's house, one thought came to your mind that made you very curious. "How did he become an alchemist?" Mustang thought for a few minutes before he answered. "Well two years ago he created a chimera that could talk." Both yours and Edward's eyes with lit up with astonishment. "A chimera that could actually talk?!" Edward said in amazement. Mustang nodded and then spoke again. "Yes, but the only thing is said was "I want to die", after that it refused to eat until it got its wish." A few minutes passed and you arrived in front of a large house. "Whoah This is Tucker's house?!" Edward screamed. You shrugged your shoulders and proceeded to the door. You decide to knock on the door but the next thing you know there is a big white dog right on top of Edward crushing him, a door opens and you hear a child's voice. "Daddy, look there are people here." The voice belonged to a little girl with two long brown braids and her father right behind her. "Nina I told you to keep the dog tied up, I'm sorry if he bothered you, um please come in." As you get a good look of the house you wonder if you can really find more information about the philosopher's stone. As they sit down at a table to ask about his research something made you feel a little uneasy, but the feeling went away and you were snapped back to reality when Mustang started to speak "Mr. Tucker this is Edward Elric the fullmetal alchemist and his brother Alphonse and this is Y/n L/n the electric alchemist, they were wondering if they could have a look at your library to find out more about bio-alchemy." Mr. Tucker thought about it for a few minutes and they nodded. "Alright, but it would be right if I could ask a question myself, you know Equivalent Exchange the code us alchemists live by. You and Edward nodded but you were curious to what he was going to ask. "Why are you two so interested in bio-alchemy." Mustang looked a little worried trying to think of a way to explain about your and the Elrics condition. Mustang cleared his throat and started to explain but was cut off by Edward. After hearing what happened to all 3 of you, Mr. Tucker understood why you needed to do research. "Oh I understand you tried to bring your mother back but instead lost your arm and leg and your brother lost his whole body." Edward and Alphonse nodded. "And you Y/n, you tried to bring your older brother back but instead lost your arm." You nodded and look at Edward. Mr. Tucker then thought for another few minutes before coming to a conclusion. "Please would you come with me there are somethings i want to show you four." All four of you follow him down a hallway where you could hear a faint noise in the distance, as you walked closer and closer to where the noise was coming from the noise grew louder and louder until you stop at a door leading into a room filled with cages and animals. You and Edward were amazed at how many animals there were. You saw Tucker and Mustang talking to each other and didn't want to bother them so you decide to go where Edward and Alphonse were. You were amazed and a little scared at all the animals. After a few seconds you see the two men leaving and you decide to tug on the brothers arms to tell them they were going to a different room. The next room had a whole library in it. "Wow look how many books there are, I think i'm going to start on this shelf and work my way from there." you say happily, Edward and Alphonse agree and the three of you quickly got lost in the books you were reading. "Alright you three behave I need to go back to work I'll have someone come and pick you up later." Mustang called but no answer came from the three of you. Tucker laughs at how focused the three of you are. A few hours past and you were starting to get a little achy from reading all day. You stand up and stretch for a bit until you hear laughing coming from a few bookshelves away. "What's going on here, did I miss a funny thing?" You say in between laughs. But all you find Alphonse carrying Nina on his shoulders and. Edward stuck under Alexander. You look in confusion. "Uhh what is going on here?" Alphonse and Nina started laughing while Edward was still trying to get out from under Alexander. "Well, Nina wanted to play for a while and I wanted to play with her but then brother caught us and once he did Alexander jumped on brother crushing him and i just continued playing with Nina until you came." You look back to see Edward finally out from under Alexander but his head was faced down when he got up. You looked at him a little worriedly but then you hear him speak. "Ok dog you've bested me twice but I Edward Elric will defeat you, you mangy mutt!!" You laugh as Edward chases the dog down the hallway leading to the backyard. The way he acts puts a little blush on your face, it's nice to see him like this having him relax and act a little playful, you stare off into space until you feel a tug on your arm, it was Nina. "Come on big sister let's go play" You couldn't help but smile at this. You noticed she called you big sister but you didn't mind it at all, you grab her hand and grab Alphonse to lead them out to the backyard where Edward is. You see Alphonse run to his brother to help him chase after the dog while you sit on the grass playing with Nina's hair fixing her braids that were a little messy. "Hey big sister, do you like Edward?" You froze for a few seconds with your cheeks red. "U-um what makes you say that Nina?" Nina giggles and you start giggling with her. Until you hear a big crash, you find Alexander on top of both Edward and Alphonse, but except Edward was being crushed like a bug under Alphonse and Alexander who was wagging his tail. You stand up and walk over to the 3 boys and manage to find Edward under the 2 boys. "Jeez Edward you look like a little bug underneath them." An anger mark grows on his forehead. "Who are you calling so small you wanna crush like an ant?" You break out in laughter, "Oh, come on I'm still taller than you" Edward looks at you, while you're still laughing. "Yea by one inch, don't you worry, I'll be taller than you before you know it, then we'll see who's the actual taller one." He says with a confident smile that made you blush a little. "Ok whatever you say." By the time both of you were done talking  Jean Havoc came to pick the three of you up. You see him give a hand signal while talking to Shou Tucker telling you that you were leaving. You turn to Nina seeing her sad and puts your hand on her head. "Don't worry Nina tomorrow we'll come back and play and talk again." She smiles and gives you a big hug which you also give back. Seeing the way you cheered Nina up so quickly put a little smile on Edward's face, which quickly turned into a blush when Alphonse caught him staring at you. The three of you head out on your way to the car and turn back to see Nina, Alexander and Shou Tucker outside seeing you off. You wave to Nina and she waves back happily knowing that you would come back and play again. You drive off back to where you were staying unaware of what had happened to the poor girl and her dog.
