I know someone and we are really good friends. One day I was at their house after school to hang out. We went outside and called for his/her dogs. ( I'm not saying the gender of the person 😉 ). Usually his/her dogs come running up to you when they hear their name. But this time me and him/her called their names about five-ten times and still no dogs. We got nervous and started to scream their names, finally one of them came running towards us from the woods. They never went back there, it was dangerous. We didn't know what was back there. Then his/her dog lead us back to where he came from and we saw the other dog laying there in the woods. I was wearing shorts and couldn't go back there in the thorns, so my friend went and crawled through and picked up the dog ( she's a husky ). When he/she came back out with the dog, we saw her leg was completely broken and it looked terrible.
We got his/her mom and raced the dog to the vet. We were at the vet for a long time and finally the veterinarian gave us the news and the best option for a well healing process. That was an amputation. It crushed my friend and it crushed me too. So they amputated her leg and was sent home a couple days later.
Now she is at home with her friend and is fine. She is walking and running around. She is just the same happy little dog. Like she was before. We are just happy that my friend was man/woman enough to go into the thorns and trees etc. to get her out.
It was the next Sunday after that happened that I went to church with that friend. ( I go to First Baptist Church of Choctaw, if you would like to attend, I will put the times of the services at the bottom ). The preacher was talking about how no matter what bad things happen in life, we should consider it joy. That made me think. When my friends dog got her leg amputated, he/she was crushed. But the Bible says we should consider it joy when things like that happen. Don't ask me why because I haven't really totally figured that out yet, but I trust that it's true. It was just a wondrous thing that four days after that happened, the sermon was about that. The preacher even used a couple hard times. Like- your family having a hard time, having to move, and then he used the example of a dog getting hurt or having to be put down. Right when the preacher said that my friends posture changed and you could just tell it really helped. THAT is how God works in wondrous/mysterious ways.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
