I leave the arena and go to the closest training field: Fire.

There are about nine unicorns from yellow to red here.  I easily spot Blaze working on a fireball.  She is really concentrating but the energy in the ball is unstable.  It is going to blow!

I quickly make my way over to Blaze and check the fireball.  It is not too unstable yet, but it is eating up Blaze’s energy at an alarming pace.

I try giving Blaze some of my energy, but she rejects it.  I then focus my efforts on the fireball.  It is a red flame that flickers uncontrollably.  I focus on the energy going into the fire ball and the energy it is using.  I slowly reverse the flow of energy back into Blaze.  I dispersed the fireball’s energy and it slowly dies like an ember in a pile of ash.

When I finish I look at Blaze and she is swaying on her feet.  She is exhausted!

“Are you ok?” I ask.

She jolts.  “When did you get here?” She asks surprised.

“Not long.  Just long enough to help with your fireball.  It was unstable and draining your energy too quickly.  Had you continued, you would have fainted and it would have exploded.” I explain.

“Well thanks then, but what did you do?”

I explain everything and forget about the others until the instructor speaks up.

“I never thought of that, but it does make sense.  Thank you for helping.  Now I don’t have to make a report on anyone.” He doesn’t seem worried about the damage that could have happened, only that his class is accident free.

“I’m going to go.  See you later Blaze.”

The next field is Air.  It is harder to spot Airy because she is short and there are about fifteen unicorns here ranging in colors from silvery grey to light blues to pinks and purples.

I spot Airy in the middle of the field talking to others in her class.  I decide I don’t want to get in the way of her and her friends so I move on.

I make my way to the Earth field.  When I get there I notice Leaf off to the side watching a mock battle between two trainees.

I stand beside him for a little and finally I softly say “The one on the left is leaving his guard down to low.  The other guy is building his energy for an attack.  If the attack misses its target, the first guy will win.”

He looks thoughtful then says “I think I would fake left and go right if I was the second guy.  It is clearly a trap.”

After that we get into a heated debate about fighting and how we would fight in that situation.  There are a couple of other Earths that join our debate.  By the time I leave, the whole class is debating the best fighting styles.

Finally I make it to the Water field.  There are about sixteen unicorns here.  They seem to be juggling water or playing catch.  It looks like a lot of fun!

Splash is on the one side of the field playing catch with two other unicorns and I haven’t seen Bubbles yet.

Suddenly, I am soaking wet and there are three unicorns giggling behind me.  I turn and there is Bubbles laughing at me.  I mock glare at her, but it doesn’t last and I soon am laughing with them.

Then, out of nowhere I get hit in the face by a water ball.  Everyone stops to watch what is happening.  I even notice Splash trying to get closer to me from the corner of my eye.

“What are you doing here freak! What? You didn’t have another freak to hang out with? We were having fun until you showed your face.  Why don’t you just leave already? Or better yet leave Zat! We clearly don’t want you here.  Nobody wants you! Not even your mother!”

The girl took it too far.  I stood to my full height and glared at her.

“Do you think that was smart? I already know people don’t like me.  I already know that my mother didn’t want me, but what I do know is that I have a loving father, and great friends who do want me.  I wasn’t bothering you or anyone else.  I am just here to check on my friends.  If everyone wants me gone, why did the Fire instructor thank me, why did the entire Earth class join in on the debate that I started, and why would I be laughing with some Waters?

“You don’t know anything about me, so please don’t assume anything.”

With that I turn and nod to Bubbles and Splash and leave for the fire pit.
