Phil's POV

In a world of places lets go somewhere we haven't gone

Someday I won't have to wait for you

And we won't place any stock in old days
Lets save up for something new
Someday I won't have to wait for you

And when we sleep at night I hope that we write novels in our heads of what to tell the other when we wake
And when morning comes before we're done with volumes left to choose lets say "I love you"
Just "I love you."
"I love you."
And "I love you too."

"Zoe...Zoe listen to me." I poured into the minuscule phone microphone, sometimes I wonder how it picks up every single noise in the room.

"Phil? Are you okay?" Concern flooded my ears.

"Zoe," I breathed, "I'm sorry for worrying you. Yes, I'm okay. Better than okay actually but I need you to listen to me."

She sighed, relieved i can only assume. "I'm all ears."

Everything flowed out all at the same time. Dan, the phone call, the flop of a diary that I've tried to maintain, just everything I've needed to get out of my system for a long time but decided to store in a bottle below my stomach. Whenever anything came up that was merely related to one of the topics, I could physically feel the concoction of emotions move within my body, threatening to spill at any moment. The movement could be so powerful that my knees would buckle so suddenly, almost like someone had come up behind me and struck behind my knee on either side. Other days it would be a dark and ever so tempting lull, trying to coax me back under the blanket of doubt, indescribable fear and sadness.

Zoe took all this in and only muttered an occasional 'mm' whenever I resurfaced from my tsunami of feelings to catch a breath.

I had an idea of which I shared with my best friend. She was very enthusiastic.

"Phil! What a sweet idea!" I could feel her smile beam through the phone.

We planned to start at the end of second period at school. The minute, the second, that bell chimed, my somewhat cheesy plan would be put into motion and I don't think I've ever been so happy since the day he left.
