I want to take away your sadness

I want to wipe away all your tears

I want to take the pain away

And remove all of your fears

I want to help you see the light

And once again make you whole

I want to be the band-aid

That patches up your wounded soul

I'm not trying to give you pity

"Cause I know you don't want that

Instead I'm just trying to be a good friend

One who will listen and have your back

I know that you want to help others

I want to help you

You want others to be happy

But you deserve happiness too

I know that you've been through so much

And that you want the pain to end

I am right here beside you

Please just let me in
