That constantly comes back to me

Returning to the forefront of my mind

Reminding me of the us we left behind

It’s been awhile since you’ve been gone

You and I have already moved on

Despite the time passed, I can’t seem to forget

The moments we shared and the day we met

I’ve never loved another like I loved you since

Perhaps ours was a once in a lifetime experience

Maybe we should give us another try

I’m not sure I was fully ready to say goodbye

If you ever want to return, my arms are open wide

I want to be the girl that’s by your side

Is there a chance that you and I could become we?

Would you still be open to that possibility?

But what am I thinking, bringing up the past

Speaking to the ghost from the year last

You’re with someone else, no longer with me

All I have of you now are distant memories
