Gel coughed and wheezed quietly, blood dripping from the bottom of his mask. The front and the back. He was leaving a trail of red splatters and streaks, Diane following closely behind.

"I don't think you're okay..." She said in a concerned manner, jogging to reach his side. He stumbled over and began leaning toward her. She caught him by the chest, but he dragged them both down.

Gel coughed and blood spewed up into the eye sections of his mask, the red liquid now seeping into his eyes. "H-help me up." He urged, trying to sit up, but always falling and bashing the back of his mask against the sidewalk.

"You didn't tell me that..." she slightly chuckled, thinking about how she believed his little guardian angel act.

"That's right. I'd forgotten." There was that same crinkle at the end of his eyes.

Diana felt safe. She didn't quite know what is was about this man... but for the first time, she felt like she could trust someone.

She smiled, her cheeks beginning to turn rosy and she blushed. This was where her life would change...
