Nazneen's Point of View

"Wake up Naz!" I hear my mom yell.

I groan, lifting up my head. I look at my phone. 6:30. Nash has texted me. I open up messages and tell him good morning. he immediately calls me.

"Morning Nash." I yawn.

"Hey baby. First day of senior year..you excited?" He says.

I groan.

"Why would I be excited for school?" I ask, walking into my closet.

I balance the phone in between my ear and my shoulder, pulling out some ripped jeans. I take out an oversized olive sweater and lay them on my bed.

"Can't wait to visit soon."He sounds tired.

I put my phone on speaker as I get dressed.

"Nash! It's 3 in the morning in L.A. go to bed." I scold.

"Not until you have to leave for school."

"Hamilton I'm not kidding." I say sternly.

"Me either." He says.

I roll my eyes. I bring my phone into the bathroom as I tap the FaceTime button. He pops up on my screen. The phone is illuminating him. He's laying down in bed on his stomach. I'm propped up against his headboard.

"You look amazing baby. They don't know who they are messing with." Nash says encouragingly.

"Who's they?" I ask as I curl my eyelashes.

"I don't know. I'm just trying to get you hype." Nash shrugs.

I laugh and take my phone downstairs, sitting at the kitchen table.

"Here honey." My mom gives me a plate of pancakes.

I thank her and dig in.

"Don't make me jealous." Nash pouts.

I smirk at him.

"Oh you didn't tell me Nash was here." My mom said, pouring coffee."Good morning Nash."

"Morning mom." He responds casually.

My dad refers to him as "son" and he refers to my mom as "mom". It's weird seeing as it seems he is my brother. It's crazy how close he is with my parents.

"Who's picking you up for school?" My mom turns to me, sipping her coffee.

"Lindy." I say, putting my plate in the sink.

"I'm going to head out for my spin class." My mom announces, putting down her cup of coffee, talking her purse and leaving.

I wave even though she's not looking my way.

"I'm a little nervous." I admit to Nash.

"Don't be baby. You will do amazing." He says.

I nod as I hear a beep from outside. I pick up my backpack and head outside, hopping in Lindy's car.

"Hey girl." She says.

"Hey." I say weakly.

"Where's the enthusiasm babygirl?" Nash asks.

"Well hey Nash. " Lindy smiles.

"Hey. You tell me if any guy tries to take my baby from me ok?" He asks of her.

       "Of course." Lindy replies.
