Chapter 35: Bambi

Nazneen's Point Of View

  I sit down in my homeroom, already missing my beautiful, beautiful bed. And Nash. But my bed more.

"Ms.Morel." Mrs. Carlson calls my name.

       "Yes?" I snap out of my litte trance and straighten up.

       "Come up here please." She says and looks back at her papers.

  I get up and make my way to the front of the class.

       "We will be having a new student and I've picked you to show him around. It counts for extra credit." She says.

       "Ok."  I go to sit down.

       "Hey." Anastasia sits next to me.

       "What's up?" I ask.

  She shrugs.

       "So a new guy? Hope he's hot."

  I laugh as Mrs. Carlson looks up. I hide behind my open book. The door opens and Ana nudges me. I guess the new guy is here. He's pretty ok looking.

       "What a hottie!" Ana nudges me again.

  I shrug and start to read again. Mrs. Carlson says something and he's on his way over. He sits in front of me and turns around. Ana is off her rockers

       "Hey." He whispers and I look up.

  I smile.

       "Hi." I say.

       "So I guess you're showing me around today?" He asks with a light laugh.

       "Yeah I guess so. I'm Nazneen." I shake his hand.

       "Kashton. Kashton Gagaballe." He says.

       "I'm Anastasia." Ana butts in.

  He waves.

       "Mrs. Carlson said you could start showing me around until first period." He says and I nod, getting up.

  We walk out of the classroom and start down the hall.

       "Here let me see your schedule." I say and he hands me it.

  We have all of the same classes. I guess that's what Mrs, Carlson meant.

       "Ok so I'll show you around the school. We have extended homeroom today." I explain.

  We start down the hall and I point out out main classes.

       "Where you from?" I ask.

       "Seattle." He answers.

       "I've always liked the rain." I laugh as we walk down the stairs.

       "It's horrible after a while. Wearing rainbootd all the time."

  I show him the main office and everything on the first floor.

       "It's quite nice of you to show me around." He says.
