Percy's POV

The trip there wasn't that entertaining, but I'm here right now, standing. Watching Atlas struggle to hold the sky.

Harry gasped, "T-that's Atlas?"

"Yup." Thalia replied.

"He's so tall!"

"What did you expect, he is a titan after all."

"Guys, stop. We have to focus on finding the scythe." I spoke up.

Everyone became silent.

"Okay, scour the area." Annabeth commanded.

Everyone nodded and they obeyed.

"Whatever you do, do not listen to Atlas." Thalia remarked.

"Okay." Everyone said in unison.

We went nearer Atlas. Which he obviously noticed.

"I see. The sea scum and the bookworm." Atlas spat in disgust.

I shivered at the word "sea scum". He reminds me of Athena. Cue shiver.

"But nevertheless. Wouldn't you want to try and carry the sky? It isn't that hard. It's clouds, they're full of water vapor. Nothing will happen. Water vapor is light right? Therefore, the sky is light." Atlas persuaded Harry.

"I guess you're right. I do want to feel what the clouds feel like." Harry stated.

Harry walked towards Atlas and touched the sky. Annabeth noticed what was happening and turned around swiftly. She ran towards Harry but Atlas already let go of the sky, leaving Harry carrying it.

"HARRY!" Annabeth screeched.

"H-he tricked me."

"Puny mortals, your kinds were always so stupid." Atlas spat.

Annabeth's eyes twitched as she slowly turned around to face Atlas.

Ohhhh, he's gonna get it now!

"What did you say?" Annabeth growled.

"You're weak like the last time I saw you, you could barely even carry the sky." He shot back.

"Please hurry! I need to get out of here." Harry pleaded.

"Fine! I'm going to prove to you that I am not dumb." Annabeth shouted.

"Fine!"

"You get a white pebble and a black pebble. Put them in a paper bag. If I get a white pebble, you have to go back and carry the sky! If I get the black, I'll carry the sky." Annabeth bargained.

"Deal!" Atlas agreed.

"Swear to the River Styx." Annabeth demanded.

Atlas hesitated for a bit, but nevertheless grumbled, "I swear to the River Styx."

Annabeth grinned in satisfaction.

"You also have to keep your part of the deal. Swear to the River Styx as well." Atlas ordered.

"I swear to the River Styx." Annabeth said without hesitation.

"Annabeth, don't do this." I told her.

"No, I know what I'm doing." She whispered back to him.

She watched Atlas grab two paper bags. Atlas turned around, but I saw what he was doing. He put two black marbles into each bag.
