"Were screwed." Thalia cursed.

"We all know that."

"Let's get this over with." Jason sighed.

The group charged towards the beast as Thanatos watched them with intensity.

The Basilisk lunged towards them circling around them, effectively serving as a trap.

Percy climbed up one of its scales and ran towards it eyes closed and stabbed the left eye of the Basilisk. A hiss with pure agony echoed against the room as the Basilisk moved away from them.

Percy landed on his feet and ran towards the group.

"Someone has to help me stop the Basilisk while the rest help Thanatos. Do whatever it takes to stop Thanatos from going evil." Percy said.

"I'll go to Thanatos, I have a way with words." Piper volunteered. (A/N: understatement of the century)

"I'll go as well, I am a daughter of Athena after all." Annabeth exclaimed.

"I'll go as well, I have some knowledge about the mind controlling thing in the wizarding world." Harry said.

"Okay, that's the plan." Thalia said.

The group separated from each other. The other heading for Thanatos, the other heading for the Basilisk.

The Basilisk once again lunged towards them, over the pain from the stabbed eye.

Thalia took out her bow and took out three arrows. She shot them into the air effectively hitting the Basilisk on its scale.

The ground started to shake as the floor started to part. Skeletons climbed out holding spears and swords.

They charged towards the beast helping the demigods.

Hazel rose her hands into the air as a big chunk of the floor was taken and was thrown towards the Basilisk.

"THANATOS! WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU! SNAP OUT OF THE MIND CONTROL!" She yelled at Thanatos, full of charmspeak.

Harry was behind Thanatos, thinking of a way to break the curse.

"Charmspeak does not affect me mere mortal." Thanatos said in a monotone voice.

Piper groaned.

"Thanatos, listen to me. If you don't snap out of this, the gods will die including you. Whatever Ouranus has told you it is a lie. He is against all the gods including you. He wants power and he would do anything to achieve it." Annabeth states calmly, yet it still felt intimidating.

Thanatos eyes started to go back tomorrow, but we're once again glazed.

"Thanatos! LISTEN! HE WILL NOT SPARE YOU! HE WILL LEAVE YOU TO ROT UNTIL YOU DIE! THE REST OF US WOULD BE DEAD!" Piper shouted.

"Remember yourself Thanatos! Get a grasp of yourself and your will. Have a grasp on your emotions. That's the only way you can fight it." Piper said with charmspeak pouring out, emotions swelling.

Thanatos stiffened and relaxed.

"What happened?" Thanatos asked.

Annabeth sighed in relief, "So how do you get out of those chains?"

"Harry has to sacrifice something dear to him." Thanatos said.

Harry was silent for a while.

"That's the memory of my parents." Harry spoke.
