Sorry it's been so long since I've updated, I have so much homework and now track season started and I just never have time, but imma try to do better! Thanks for sticking with me!! (: xx

Melanie's POV

My heart is racing about a hundred miles an hour and my brain is struggling to comprehend what I just found. It is just unbelievable. I have no clue what all of this could possibly mean but for some reason I'm getting the vibe that there is no possible way that it is something good.

Shit. I just remembered Harry is waiting for me. If he comes up here and sees me with this he's gonna be pissed. He obviously tried as hard as he could to keep me from finding out about this.

I glance around the rooftop to make sure that I am alone. Despite the fact that I am obviously the only one up here I can't help but feel like something or someone is watching me.. Oh well, I probably just feel this way because I know something I'm not supposed to.

I quickly put everything back into the metal box where I had found it but not before pulling out my shitty Andriod and snapping a picture of the note that was written to Niall, whoever that may be. I want to be able to read over it again later when I can focus and try to figure out what the hell is going on.

Making sure I have my bag I make my way back to the door and before going back inside shake my head to try to clear my head of everything. I need to be back to normal Mel so that Harry doesn't suspect anything is out of the ordinary. But then again, we just met less than an hour ago so there's no way he could possibly know how I normally am.

I scramble down the stairs to find a pair of vibrant green eyes taking in my awkward jog down the stairs.

"You look a bit winded Mel, maybe you should start working out so you don't lose your breath just jogging down a few stairs!"

So we're back to snarky comments. "Well Harry, maybe I'm breathless because now I know your secret and it's quite breathtaking"

Shit, why did I just say that. That just slipped out. He cannot know that I saw the contents of that box. I see fear wash over his face but he quickly tries to brush it away with a smirk.

"My secret? What the hell are you talking about Mel, we just met and you definitely don't know any of my secrets."

It sounded more like he was trying to convince himself of that more than he was trying to convince me. I think quickly to try to avoid suspicion.

"Oh, I just meant your secret hangout space on the roof and the breathtaking view of the city!" I plaster a smile on my face even though I feel like he can see my insides shaking of nervousness.

It appears he bought my story because a genuine smile creeps onto his face. "Ah, yeah I guess that secret is not so secret after all but if you tell anyone I might have to kill you!"

He winks, but I laugh nervously. Thinking about the note and the person that Harry might have actually killed. "Don't we have to go to class, I don't wanna be late on the first day!" I try to change the subject to a more comfortable topic.

"Well, we actually missed the entire first period but don't worry about it. If we go to class now we'll only be 5 minutes late to second period which won't be a problem at all, everyone loves me." He emphasizes the word 'everyone' and smirks when I punch him in the arm. I barely like him and I certainly don't love him.

"Okay fine, most people love me and the ones who don't are stupid." He grin lights up his face and I can't help but laugh at how childish he is.

"Fine, I'd take being stupid over loving you anyday!" I retort.
