Hello! This is my first fanfic, and I'm really nervous. I am not the best writer and I make lots of mistakes, so keep that in mind please. Also, feel free to tell me what I need to work on, it really helps! I'm thinking about updating every week or twice a week. Now let's get on to the first chapter! 😁

Chapter 1:

(Sophie's POV)

I wake up to blinding lights coming in from my windows. Groaning, I remember that I forgot to close the shades again. I pull the covers over my head.

Life has been hard recently. Just about a year and a half ago, Biana, Fitz, Tam, Linh, Keefe, Dex, The Black Swan and I all worked alongside to defeat the Neverseen. We have finally came to the conclusion that the battle is done, since Ruy and other members who I do not know the names of supposedly died during the battle, and the Neverseen hasn't struck back since.

I still feel uncomfortable about the Neverseen though, I always feel like no matter what, they are watching, getting ready for another attack. I shudder.

Frowning, I throw the covers off my head. Then I stood up before racing to the shower.

Yes, I am very aware that my friends and I saved the whole entire elvin universe, but I still had to get ready for my level seven gold tower lessons at foxfire. Saving the world doesn't get you out of school, unfortunately.

And then my head starting thinking about another thing. Though Dex, Biana and I have been separated from Keefe and Fitz starting two years ago, I still missed them badly. It was not fair that they got dorms in the silver tower, and would graduate in one year, and that we barely saw eachother. In fact, we all use up all of our free time to hang out together when we can, but now that midterms were coming up, I would be getting a whole two months away from work, to hang out with Keefe- and Fitz! I was aware that midterms was a month away, but it was still close.

Fitz...and his impossibly teal eyes. I thought dreamily. Then I quickly shook my head.

I am still surprised that I haven't gone over that silly crush yet.

After getting out of the shower, I quickly change into my level seven uniform and waist length golden cape.

Dumb cape. I thought. I was still and never over the fact that elves use capes. They are rather silly, in my opinion.

I take one last glance at my dorm before rushing out, very aware that this was a Monday morning, I was early for my classes, and Biana was most likely impatiently waiting for me outside the door.

She always waits for me before class starts.

---------------------

"EEEKK!" Biana squealed as I opened the door into the hall of dorms, and turned around quickly to lock my room. After locking my room, I turn around to face an overly excited Biana.

"What's going on Biana?" I ask, raising an eyebrow and fighting back a smile. I was pretty sure I knew what she was excited about.

"What do you mean Sophie?" Biana asked wide eyed, before she broke out onto another huge grin.

"Midterms are coming soon! And you know what that means- two whole months of freedom!" The brunette screeched.

"SHHHHH!" I quickly put a hand over Biana's mouth. "You do realize that it's six in the morning right? Class starts in an hour and a half, and for goodness sake, midterms is in one month!"

I know she is always awake at this time only because Biana is always one to take her time doing makeup and fixing her hair. Like she always says- one cannot rush beauty, or perfection.
