Hi again! I'm sooo excited! I wrote six chapters! Again, big deal because I'm lazy and still busy with SCHOOL. YEAH, MY LAST DAY OF SCHOOL IS IN TWO WEEKS SO NO VACATION FOR ME. Anyways, I already failed exams so now I have more time to write! (Don't worry, that's not true. I actually enjoy and do well at my school!👍)Still the same schedule though. Enough about my life, let's get on to the chapter! Oh, and thanks for over 100 views! IT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME!😀

Also, I added the foxfire levels above for anyone who is confused about the levels (ya know, just in case)😊

Chapter 6:

(Fitz's POV)

Today was a long day. Before Telepathy ended, Tiergan came back. Guessing by our faces, he knew we shared our final secrets. He said that next class, he would tell us when our cognate test would be scheduled. After that, I had to get to Multispeciesial Studies. Now that that class was over, I was heading back to my room to get started on my homework. On the way there, I was thinking about Sophie one hundred percent of the time.

She really loves me?

But she loves Keefe too?

She said she loved Keefe more than me. That her heart belonged to him. Will that ever change?

Shock was still pulsing through my veins. I never expected for Sophie Foster, every boy's dream girl, to have a crush on me. I was very happy, but then again depressed to know that she loved Keefe more.

Keefe...

Sophie said not to take it hard on him. But I kinda did. I was a terrible friend. I should've been more happy for him, he is my best friend after all. But it's not fair.

I know I lied to Sophie. I didn't understand. She didn't understand. I still loved her, and I knew I should've told her before. But it's wrong of me to think that way. Keefe did nothing wrong, he deserved better.

I should apologize to him. I thought, and right when I made a turn to the hallway where me and Keefe's dorms were, Keefe came running up to me.

"Fitz. We need to talk."

------------------------

Sighing, I sat on Keefe's bed, and he pulled out his desk chair and sat across from me. Before Keefe could say anything else, I blurted "I'm sorry." Keefe's hurt expression softened a bit.

"Oh, so you know why I wanted to talk to you."

"Yeah." I said quietly.

"Well, before you say anything else... Dude! What was that? Don't think that I was acting all oblivious back there when I told you about Sophie and I. I sensed your disappointment without even making contact with you!" He threw his hands up in the air, exasperated, before continuing on, quietly. "You would've thought that your best friend would be happy for you once you get your first girlfriend."

I stayed silent. It was true. Keefe and I never dated before. You would think with the amount of crush cuffs we both had, that we had dated tons of girls. But no. We never seemed to find the one. Until Sophie came along of course.

"Keefe, look, I'm sorry okay? I know that I acted like a total idiot out there when you trusted me enough to tell me your secret. This won't happen again, promise." Keefe narrowed his eyes at me.

"I forgive you, but...why did you storm away without me? Fitz, that was just... so unlike you!" Something in my gut told me that Keefe knew the reason why. He just wanted to get the satisfaction of me saying it.

"I bet you already know why." I muttered.

"I think I have an idea..." Keefe smiled sadly. "You like Sophie, don't you?"

I freeze. To be honest, I really did not think that Keefe would know.

How did he know that???

"You're forgetting that I'm an Empath." Keefe smirked, like as if he were reading my mind.

"Well, I guess you could say that." We both stayed silent for a while, until Keefe broke the silence.

"Fitz, its...alright. Who wouldn't have a crush on Foster? Shoot, she has five abilities and was able to knock out the Neverseen at just age thirteen! And don't get me started on those big brown eyes of hers, gorgeous, aren't they?" Keefe looked off into the distance after he was done rambling on about his girlfriend.

"Yeah." I mumbled, trying to withstand the jealousy that was currently flooding me. I decided to not tell Keefe about Sophie also crushing on me. "I guess...that I was just...jealous." I sighed.

Keefe nodded his head. "Yeah, no offense dude, but it was pretty obvious."

I rolled my eyes. "Just, don't hurt her okay? Sophie's my cognate, and I don't want my idiot best friend to end up making her upset."

Keefe scowled. "Who you calling an idiot? Fitz, your not the only one who cares about Sophie you know. I love her. And I would never hurt her. Also, she's my girlfriend Fitz! Sophie loves me, and I love her back! Can you stop doubting our relationship and get on with life?!" Keefe took a deep breath of air. I glowered at Keefe.

Ugh, look at him, acting like he owns Sophie. Little does he know that she has feelings for me too.

Angry, I reply back to Keefe. "Well, who knows? Maybe she will come running back to me. After all, everyone knows that Vackers are the best. I'm pretty sure that she has feelings for me too!" I spat. Keefe looked at me with a face of hurt, and...worry? Then he quickly shook it off.

Keefe rose his voice. "Don't get your hopes up too high, Wonderboy. I bet that if Sophie ever loved you, then she would've been your girlfriend instead of mine, aye?" He looked at me confidently with a look of pure rage in his eyes.

"KEEFE, YOU DON'T KNOW THAT. WHAT IS TRUE IS THAT ITS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT SOPHIE HAS EVEN FALLEN FOR A JERK LIKE YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE." I stood up, arms crossed, still glowering at him. Then Keefe stood up, making our height equal.

"YOU FREAKING...." He scowled. "VACKER, IF YOU'RE GONNA ACT THAT WAY THEN FEEL FREE TO TAKE YOUR BUTT OUT OF HERE. I DON'T NEED YOUR STUPID JEALOUSY TO GET IN THE WAY OF MY PERSONAL LIFE ANYMORE. AND DON'T FORGET TO STAY AWAY FROM MY GIRLFRIEND WHILE YOU'RE AT IT!"

"LIKE SOPHIE HAS EVER TOLD YOU ANY OF HER DEEPEST SECRETS." I shoved my cognate ring on my right thumb to Keefe's face, not thinking. Only feeling anger. Keefe pulled my hand away from his face, and then I continued. "AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT KICKING ME OUT. ITS MY PLEASURE. I'LL JUST LEAVE YOU ALONE WITH YOUR SORRY LIFE." I started stalking off to the door.

"GET OUT!" Keefe snapped.  I storm out the door and walk across to my door, which was unfortunately, across Keefe's. Before I could even open my dormitory door, Keefe yelled once more,"SOPHIE WILL NEVER LOVE YOU THE WAY SHE LOVES ME!" Before slamming his door shut.

I turn around to face his door and yell, loud enough so the whole world can hear, "FINE WITH ME, SENCEN!" And I run inside my room, slamming the door with force I never thought I had before.

By then, I only thought about one thing.

It's not fine. And it never was.

My plan is working out perfectly.... hehe. Don't worry, everything will turn out well again! Or would it? *grins evilly* NEXT CHAPTER WILL BE POSTED ON FRIDAY. And sorry for the short and terrible chapter, I'm writing this at night! I'll try to make the next chapters longer. See you then!
