Chapter Four: Bribe him with Brownies.
I could hear ringing, I didn't know whether it was just a dream or whether it was real. Just in case I wasn't dreaming i felt around for the iPhone. Feeling like a blind person I don't bother trying to open my eyes as i knew that they were probably swollen from my dramatic night last night.
I finally find my phone which so happened to be underneath my thigh. How? I have no idea. Someone must really want to talk to me if they haven't given up by now.
"Hello?" I glanced at the clock an saw that it was 11:00am.
"Hello Sunshine." And with that I was wide awake. It was my best friend Sean. I was so glad to hear his voice. A familiar voice.
"Sean?" I yelled his name again, as i heard him chuckle.
"Yep its me, someone sounds a little too excited." Hell yeah I was, its only been a couple of days since i have been here and yet i missed my best friend a lot.
I wipe my eyes trying to adjust to the lighting. "Its been weird here, theres this guy.." And thats how my call with Sean went, me talking about life down here and him just listening. "Well, my break is over, i know that it may seem weird right now but you'll get through it. As for this 'Anthony' guy he better watch it before i come down there and-"
"Dont worry too much, thanks for calling i missed you heaps"> We exchanged goodbyes and i put my iphone on charge before going into my bathroom to have a shower. Without a minute to waste i chuck on some black skinny jeans, a ac/dc tee, and my chucks. I couldnt be bothered doing anything with my hair so just did a messy bun. It would have to do iits not like im dressing to impress anyone. Not that i knew anyone anyways.
I plug my earphones in and put it on random shuffle. Disclosure ends up coming on, these guys are awesome.
I skip down the stairs, two at a time. The only thing that has been on my mind was food, my one and only love.
Humming along, I quickly opened the fridge, grabbing some eggs, bread, butter. French toast was on the menu today. Thinking about what I am going to do today I decide just to go into the local shopping centre and go from there. Surely its not that hard to find my way round here, it isn't exactly big anyways.
I locked the house, unlocking my car and starting it up. Cruising down the street I notice that most of the houses around here have people playing, whether it be little kids skipping or guys playing touch. I reach the traffic lights that are just before the shopping centre hoping that this is the right way. Humming or should I say rapping to some Drake that comes on the radio feels like I haven't heard this song in forever. Haha, that's what the song is called Forever.
Not funny right? Okay, moving along..
These lights are taking forever so decide to look for street names so that if I do get lost at least I know the street names. I look at the car next to me, it has a strip of cartoon network characters going along the bottom of the car. I personally wouldn't get it but it did look cool if only it was in Disney characters that would be cool. I take a look at the driver and see that he's looking straight at me, my eyes don't leave his.
He smirks at me and winks, flushed I quickly turn and wait for the lights to turn green. Talk about awkward if only he was ugly. Oh who am I kidding that guy was probably the only good-looking guy I have meet here so far. Omg I think I even blushed. Thankfully they turn green within seconds and I put it in gear and speed off, trying to get away as fast as possible.
Seeing the sign I'm relieved that my memory didn't fail me today, its like almost noon and I haven't even gotten my uniform and stuff. Parking backwards so that it makes it easier to get out of my parking as I see that its already packed and I just don't want to be stuck reversing.
