Chapter Five: Total utter bullshit
After finding my way to Form class I thought about the look on Anthony's face, priceless. People were looking at him like I was his so-called love-child. While everyone was piling in as I got to have a look at the people that I would be in with for the rest of this year. Your usual cliques, very typical for a rich school: nerds, sports dudes, cheerleader girls etc. etc. I figured it was best if I just kept my head down; avoid drawing attention especially being the new kid and all.
All good comes to an end abruptly when your teacher announces to the whole world that you're new. Great.
"Welcome to Westfield, Summer Jenkins."
I look up at who said my name, he must be the teacher. Oh nah, of course he's the teacher why else would he be standing up at the front of the classroom. I tilt my bucket hat as I smile sweetly at him. He's bald, old, and fat. But he seems like a chappy dude so I reply nicely. "Hi, sir?" Realizing that he didn't address himself he quickly answers
"Mr. Taylor." I didn't know what else to say so I just stared back at him, waiting for him to continue but he just continued staring back at me. What is this? A staring contest, little does he know it's actually creeping me out.
By now, everyone turns to stare at me. I hear those cheerleader girls in the front whispering something along the lines of "what is she wearing?" and "Is she wearing trousers?" blah blah blah. I roll my eyes, these are exactly the kind of people I try to avoid. So what, I wear the trousers instead of those ugly shorts it's what makes me comfortable, and if they don't like it then they can all kiss my ass.
When people stare at me I make them feel uncomfortable by staring back at them which is exactly what I did. Was he expecting something else from me?
He laughs. Okay fatso, inside joke or what? "I said, would you like to introduce yourself. Maybe tell us a little about yourself, where you're from, hobbies etc." Yeah right, like I was going to tell them a bunch of stuff about myself. Hmm, what should I say? I decided on just keeping it brief but not to an extent where it's rude, no matter how much I wanted to say something other than that.
"Uh well, I'm from Kelston, like sports, yeah that's me."
He raised an eyebrow. Well he aint getting nothing but that, so he quickly starts calling the roll and shortly after the bell rings signaling first period. I take my sweet time getting up from my seat, if I'm late I'll just say that I got lost or something which is most likely going to happen seeing as this school is gigantic. Everyone is rushing like they're going to get a detention if they don't make it in on time. Apparently I was right, about both things. I was right about both of those things. I was late and I got a detention after school. Yep, you heard right. A detention on the first day, total utter bullshit!

I was also late to English all because I was so sure I knew where the classroom was and even with a map I still didn't find it until another ten minutes of running around like a lost chicken. It was situated on the other side of the school, how stupid. I open the door and instantly all eyes are on me again.
"New face and you are?" She was smiling, in my opinion an over the top smile. Like she just won the lotto.
"Summer Jenkins." I say quickly hoping that she'll let me take a seat already which she does glad she also didn't give me a detention unlike my accounting teacher or having to introduce myself like I did in form class. I look around the classroom for the closest seat but see that the only one left is the one near the back. Sighing, I walk through the rows of students avoiding their faces. I take a seat, which just so happened to be near the window but also near some guy in a black hoodie.
I soon find that they are reading and soon-to-be writing about the infamous To kill a mockingbird which I have read already and don't plan on reading again. Nothing against it, it's just when they make you read a book and then look for quotes etc. you get sick of it. For such a prestige school they sure are slow, shouldn't they be ahead of the more mainstream schools.
"Please turn to the person next to you and just discuss what you liked the most, things that could be changed, and an overall rating of the book." Immediately everyone turns to each other and talk, most likely about nothing to do with the book. I hate when teachers do this, especially if you don't know the person next to you and you have to be the first one to start the conversation.
Right how I should do this this guy looks really snobby, the kind that isn't and shouldn't be approached whatsoever. Too bad because they had those kind of guys at Kelston and if anyone knew me knew that I liked to make friends regardless. "Hey, im Summer." He looks at me with the coldest eyes, saying nothing at all.
"Well?" I tug the leftover hairs that tried coming out underneath the bucket hat that I was wearing. My hairs really long that I just plait it to keep it from coming out. Its annoying but my dad loved my hair therefore stopping me from cutting it. Instead of answering, he goes back to writing or drawing whatever he had been doing before I so kindly interrupted him.
Mrs. Smiley (which probably isn't her name) hadn't returned and I was getting bored and cold eyes next to me didn't want to talk. I thought my options over thinking whether I should continue to annoy this guy until he responded or just to occupy myself somehow. I choose the latter and decided to play quiz-up to kill time, I am the undisputed king (or queen whatever) at the hip-hop genre like literally the best.
With only twenty minutes left and the teacher still absent. Was she taking a shit or something because surely it didn't take that long to 'get a few things from the resource room' when she did arrive the bell rang signalling that it was lunch which made me happy. I practically ran out the door hoping to get to the cafeteria before it gets packed with the whole study body.
I buy a lot of food, earning a few stares as I go to sit at a vacant table which happened to be near a window. I check my phone for any messages. 1 from Sean, 2 from Anthony, and one of customer services. I hate those stupid reminders they always send you. As more and more students pile into the cafeteria, they stare as they walk past.
I feel my face double-checking if I have something on it or if there's some stain on my uniform, my dad would always say I was a messy eater which I denied. I used my iPhone screen as a mirror, nope still same ol ugly me.
Que, the whispering now. These people were getting on my nerves now, I know I am the new kid, but its not like I'm some celebrity that they constantly have to stare at.
After replying back, I finally start eating this chicken Panini that looked as good as it tasted. As I went to take another bite, a girl stopped at my table as though she were in a rush. "Everyone's looking at you because you're sitting at his table." She had red hair, like Rihanna red but it suited her green eyes well. It was up in a bun as her forehead looked sweaty. She pulled up the strap of her duffel bag and continued walking. She was still in her sports gear probably just finished training. Even with only soccer socks on no shoes she walked through the cafeteria like she owned the place.
So that's why everyone was staring at me, I'm not as ugly as expected then. What did she mean by his table? I'm pretty sure there wasn't a name on here so therefore I ignored her warning and waited or rather anticipated the arrival of whoever he was.
AN: wow, its been forever since I decided to write again. The only reason I magically wrote this is because I have to write a essay thing and am basically procrastinating again fml.. Greatness always comes out of procrastinating don't you reckon?
Anyways this is what I got for whomever. I know my songs are random but that's what I'm listening to and plus I love chris brown and I don't care about those that don't because he's got serious talent okay? and he's hot!!!
