Confusion

I walk down that familiar narrow passage, seeming to never end. I come to a stop, realising that there are two passages I can take. I take a step to the left, but hesitate. I then figure I should go right, however doubt renders me immobile. My eyes, diverting from passage to passage, the walls appearing to bulge and concave, making me feel dizzy. Considering that I do take one path, where would that lead me? What if I'm to take the wrong way? With all this confusion I decide to sit before the two corridors. Regardless of what direction I go, is it not possible that the walls won't close in on me anyway? It always seems like that's the outcome; one can say that that possibility is inevitable.
