Clarke's POV
"I'm coming back to deliver a message for our commander. She wishes to meet with you in order to settle this...disagreement" I hoped that I was hiding the shock and fear I was feeling. Anya had come back and asked to speak with me. We were no longer able to detain her do to the miles of field covered of grounder army
"If it's a meeting you want to have shouldn't it be with my mother?"
"We both know she's not the one your people follow" we stared at each other almost like we were trying to read each other's thoughts and I saw a hint of fear in Anya's eyes
"What's at stake for you?"
"I'm the one who told Le- the commander she should try coming to an agreement instead of sending out warriors to wipe you out"
"I think I handled myself pretty well before" I said feeling the tension rising in the air. After a moment of silence she took a deep breath
"Listen Clarke, you might have the weapons but we have the man power. You told me you killed our 300 warriors for your people, do this for your people as well because if you don't you won't have any people left." When did Anya start talking so much? And why is she so convincing? Seems like I'm going to get the honor of meeting with the great commander
"Tell her I accept"
"Good. Six of our guards will come and escort you to her tent, you may bring two companions with you"
"Okay try not to miss me too much" I said trying to lighten up the mood. Her farewell seemed like she'd never see me again, are all grounders so serious?
