(short but eventful chapter)
Lexa's POV
"We reject the offer"
This Klarke girl was something different. Blonde hair wasn't something seen by many and to see it matched with piercings blue eyes was a sight of high unlikeliness. However, her obvious beauty wasn't what captivated me, it was the confidence and sense of leadership she extorted. She seemed like a born leader like myself and for that I respected her.
"Heda what is our plan of attack" Indra said snapping me out of my thoughts
"Heda, I advise against this" Anya said, it was strange to see Anya so defensive about people who aren't Trikru. The Anya I knew would want revenge no matter the cost
"And why is that? Why does it seem like you have done nothing but defend skykru since you came back Anya"
"I'm not defending them I am simply acknowledging the facts Heda. I have seen they're capabilities, we will win the war but will have to lose many battles. 300 life's will turn to thousands"
"And what other option do I have! I will look weak taking no action." I said agitated
"You will look weak if you lose"
"So what are my options. I have given them a way out and they have turned away from it"
"A merger. No one beside the people in this tent know what you offered. If you merge their clan will be yours no war necessary"
"And the people?"
"Although it won't be enough an apology will be offered by the sky person along with a memorial hosted by you"
"And I'm guessing you think this offer should be towards Klarke"
"Yes. You would be taking away their leader"
"This is ludicrous. Blood must always have blood" Indra said angry,as always, "She will have blood and body to serve with and for her for the rest of their life's. A life for a life." Anya retorted. There wasn't much of an argument to build against it except for the fact that I would have to marry even though my heart belonged to another
"Cosita will understand" Anya said. I hate when she does that
"Keep her name out of your mouth"
"I meant no disrespect Heda." She said with a tilt of her head
"Heda you can't possibly be considering this!" Indra said
"I'm not considering it. I'm doing it."
