Chapter 4

Per Ash's statement in two years he was ready, much to Queen Ilene's head of security's surprise. When he first heard Ash's statement he thought he was arrogant, but true to his word Ash did it. He knew now it would take someone on pare with a champion to stop Ash and his Pokemon. Ash and all his Pokemon trained every day, twelve hours a day. When Ash left for Rota all his Pokemon were transferred to Rota as well, all 66 of them. Mimey made it clear he didn't want to battle but to continue taking care of things for Ash as he did for his mother such as cleaning. This at first caused some problems with the palace staff, however they quickly accepted Mimey and assisted him when needed.

Most of Ash's training was on the palace grounds, however after a little more than a year he was sent to Mt Silver to train with all his Pokemon for six months. The timing was chosen to make then endure the harsh winter up there, which made then even stronger. Although he did cause a scare when he didn't return after six and a half months. Fearing the worst the head of security left on his Dragonite to find him. When he arrived he found them all training. When he asked Ash why he didn't return after six months, Ash got a sheepish grin on his face and scratched the back of his head with one hand out of embarrassment as he pulled out a broken poke gear S8 smart phone out of his pocket. Apparently it hit a rock and broke his third day on the mountain, so he lost track of the days. With a sweat drop and a shaking of his head Ash was told to recall his pokemon. After returning all but Pikachu and Charizard they left for Rota.

Now two years after his arrival in Rota, Ash is ready for his next journey. Ash walks into the palace dinning room, seeing Queen Ilene already eating her breakfast, takes a seat joining her for breakfast. "Good morning Your Majesty." "Good morning Ash. So today's the day, have you chosen which pokemon your going to take," asked the queen. "I have, Pikachu and Charizard." The the queen looked confused, "I thought you could hold up to six at a time?" "I can however I only want to keep two of my previous pokemon with me so I can work on training any new ones I catch. I do plan on switching out with my other pokemon here as often as possible." "That sounds good, but I think you should keep Lucario a little longer than the others since he's never been on a journey with you before."

Flashback: Two months since arriving in Rota

Ash and Pikachu are walking through the forest near the palace. During Ash's morning run he saw a tree full a Oran berries, he and all his pokemon stopped to have one and found them to be the best they ever tasted. So Ash decided to come back with a huge basket to get more. He's currently heading back, he decided to only bring Pikachu so he could surprise the others. As they are walking Ash stops, "Pikachu, I'm having this feeling that were being watched. Do you smell anything?" Just as Pikachu starts to smell the air, a Riolu drops down right in front of them. The Riolu looks up at Ash and smiles. "Hello Riolu, you seem very friendly. Have we met before?" Ash felt something familiar about that Riolu, but he just couldn't place it. The Riolu nodded, then formed an aura sphere in his paws. "Your the Riolu I met in Sinnoh. What are you doing all the way out here, and where's your trainer?" Riolu looked down with a sad expression. Ash remembered his trainer was old, then it hit him. "Is he still alive?" Riolu shook his head and began to cry. Ash put the basket of berries down, walked over to Riolu and gave him a hug. "I'm so sorry. I know how you feel, my mother died recently." Riolu looked up to Ash with a shocked expression. "Hey Riolu how would you like to join us?" Riolu looked up at him happily and nodded. Ash then pulled out and empty Pokeball and tapped it on Riolu head, sucking him inside. The ball dinged immediately, Ash then released Riolu. "Welcome to the family Riolu, now come on, I'll introduce you to the others." Ash then heard in his head, "thank you, that sounds nice". "Riolu, was that you?" "Yes, I used my aura to communicate with you in your mind. I can also tell that your aura is strong as well. If you want, I can teach you how to use your aura and you can help me become stronger." "Deal."

Flashback end

"That's a good point, maybe I'll be able to find a strong gym he would be suited for." Ash was about to continue eating when the queen asked, "By the way, which region do you planning on challenging." "Kalos, I've heard of this thing called mega evolution using these special stones. What's great is after the battle, they revert back to there previous form. This should provide a good challenge, and maybe I'll be able to get a mega stone or two for my pokemon." " I've heard of Mega Evolution as well, even though it's more common in Kalos, stones have been discovered in other regions as well. I'll have someone keep an eye open for any that you could use." "Thank you, I would appreciate that," with that Ash was finally able to start eating his breakfast. Unfortunately for Ash, Queen Ilene wasn't done, "Just don't be so busy with looking for mega stones and challenging the Kalos league you miss some of the other things Kalos has to offer." "Like what?" Ash responded with a mouth full of food. "Amour." "What's that, some kind of pokemon?" Queen Ilene looked at him with a smile on her face, "Amour is the Kalosian word for love." This caused Ash to choke on his water. Queen Ilene laughed at this. "Ash, Kalos is known as the region of love." "No disrespect your majesty, but what makes you think I even want to find that at this point?" "Oh I don't know, maybe it's that picture you always keep in your jacket pocket." Ash was now both shocked and a little embarrassed. "Ash you been here for two years and you didn't think I would notice, I disappointed." Ash regained his composer and sighed, "I've traveled through five regions and haven't even had a crush on a girl, what makes you think Kalos will be any different." "You never know, anything can happen." "Maybe" and with that Ash continued to eat his food.

Meanwhile in Vaniville Town a 17 year old girl with short honey blond hair was coming outside to feed her mothers ryhorn. Even though her current clothing didn't show it, she had a stunning body, with all the right curves in all the right places. Many said Acreus broke the mold when he made her, she was perfect in every way. She knew what people thought of her but never let it go to her head and stayed kind and humble, which only added to her perfection. She did know however her beauty sometimes was a curse. "Hello my beautiful Serena" case in point. Serena turned around with an annoyed look on her face to see none other than Calem. "What do you want pervert" Serena was already beyond annoyed with Calem, he lived only a few houses down from her and would bother her almost daily. He thought he was so amazing just because he made it the the final four in the Kalos league when he was fourteen. In the small town of Vaniville this was a big deal, however this only added to his ego. He soon after got another reputation in Vaniville, womanizer. He was always dating the girls in town, and if they didn't sleep with him he would just leave them. He had always wanted Serena, but she would always turn him down, and now she was the last girl for him to get which made him want her even more. "What I want is you and me together, it only makes sense that two genetically blessed individuals like us should be together." "For the millionth time Calem it's never going to happen." "Maybe your tune will change after I win the next Kalos league. I've been training my pokemon, and this is our year." "Nothing will change my mind, SO LEAVE ME ALONE", Serena was yelling now. "I won't quit until I get a different answer." Serena now had an idea. "Do you promise to leave me alone if I give you a different answer?" "You have my word," Calem had a smile on his face thinking he finally won. "Ok then, here's my answer, RYHORN KNOCK HIM OUT OF THE YARD WITH TACKLE!" Calem's eyes widened when he saw the large pokemon charging at him, he reached for a pokeball but was too slow and was hit by the Ryhorn and sent out of the yard and across the street, landing with swirly eyes. Serena now with a smile, walked over to Ryhorn, "Thanks Ryhorn, good work. I'll make you a pokepuff to go with your dinner." Ryhorn gave a happy cry for the treat he was going to receive, as Serena walked back into the house.

Now nearly Ten hours later,in Lumious City in Kalos, a raven haired seventeen year old was walking off a plane with his loyal first pokemon Pikachu on his shoulder. "Here we are Pikachu, Kalos. Are you ready buddy?" Pikachu pumped his fist into the air with a "PIKA." That's the spirit buddy, let's go win the Kalos league."
