We walked out of the bathroom and the club was still full of people. Noticing the glance I got from Zeke, I smiled and waved at him. He waved back and winked at me. I rolled my eyes and followed Victoria to the bar. Great.
"I'm gonna ask Zeke for a ride. Do you wanna join?" Victoria said loud enough for me to hear.
"No thanks. I think I will walk. It's not that far from my apartment." I replied loudly.
"Suit yourself. Hey Zeke!" Victoria walked to the bar.
I walked out of the club into the dark, cold night. Walking around the club building, I noticed an alleyway approached me. It was an easier way to get home. I follow my gut and made my way down it. The feeling was making me uneasy. God dammit, why did I do this? I saw a light towards the end when a sudden hand grabbed onto mine. I turned around and saw a long haired guy with slight facial hair smile at me. He was giving off a creep vibe.
"Hey gorgeous, what's a girl like you doing out here in the street?" He said slyly.
"Nothing. Just trying to get home." I said, feeling the fear come out from under my breath.
"Aww, you're scared. I like when they're scared." He said and pushed me against the brick wall. I gasped loudly and squirmed to get out his grasp.
"Let me go!" I screamed.
"Why should I? I'm just about to have fun with you." He said seductively and put his hand up my shirt.
"Stop it! No!" I screamed again.
"Here. Take this." The guy smiled and stuck something in my mouth. He tilted my head and made me swallow it.
"Let her go." I heard a voice echo.
We both looked down the alley to see a figure standing under the street light. The man smiled and grasped my breast. I winced and groaned in pain.
"Why? I was just about to have some fun with her." He started to violently take off my clothing. Then he was ripped off of me.
"Now, I'm going to have to ask you to leave this young lady alone." Ryo said very harshly under his breath.
The long haired guy got up off from the ground and lunged at Ryo. The long haired guy got a hold of his neck and threw him against the wall. I grabbed onto the guy's hoodie, but he punched me in the stomach and I fell hard. Then my whole world turned black.

My eyes fluttered open and I noticed I was in my bedroom. I got up in a panic. How did I get here? Then I thought about Ryo. Where did he go? I groggily got up. It was still dark outside. It must be early morning. I checked the clock on my phone that was sitting on my bedside table. It was 1:30 a.m. Christ. I felt horrible. I wondered how Victoria was. Is she okay?
"Good morning." A voice called to me as I walked in the living room. I looked over and saw him sitting on the sofa. My heart was racing just by me looking at him. "You alright?"
"Yeah. I'm fine." I sat down on the other end of the couch. "What are you doing here?"
"I just wanted to see how you were doing. You know, you shouldn't be walking around late at night." He said in a stern tone.
"You shouldn't be telling me what to do." I snapped. "Where's Victoria?"
"She's home."
"How did you even find where I lived?"
"Don't worry about it."
"Well, I am."
"You didn't even thank me for rescuing you."
My face flushed with red. "Thanks.."
"Welcome." He sat in silence for a moment. "He could have killed you."
I didn't want to reply immediately. I knew he was right. I could have been raped and killed and then no one would have seen me again.
"Ryo," I said softly. His name rolled gently from my lips and it sent shivers down my spine. "Why did you save me..?"
Ryo just smiled at me. "You need to go back to sleep. I must be going here soon."
"Wait," I grabbed his hand. "Why did you?"
Ryo gave me a stare that felt like it could almost make me grip my stomach. He looked directly into my eyes. "When I saw you, I had a good feeling about you. That maybe you could change me. I feel as if I can't leave you alone."
I bit my lip and sighed deeply. "Than don't. Please."
He smiled at me again and stood up. "I have to get going. It's late." He started walking towards the door and I swallowed down the big lump in my throat. The urge for him to stay was making me uneasy. But if he stayed, what would have happened to me? Victoria warned me about him.
"Goodnight, Alexandria." Ryo said at the door.
"Goodnight, Ryo." I replied and watched as he left my apartment. I bit my lip again. "Fuck." I heard my phone ringing from my room and I fast walked to it. It was sitting on my nightstand. I was getting a call from Amethyst.
"Hello?" She said.
"Hi sis." I replied.
"Sister! What are you doing awake?"
I walked out to the balcony from my bedroom and leaned against the rail. "I should be asking you the same thing."
"Mom and Dad are fighting again. It's just not the same without you, Alex."
I sighed. "I know. It was good for me to move out."
"Yeah." It went silent for a moment. "So, have you made any friends yet?"
Yes. I did. A mysteriously beautiful stranger and a drop dead gorgeous model who suffers from depression. "Yeah. I did. I met a girl who has been modeling her whole life."
"Your voice tells me you met someone else, too."
Damn. She was good at that. "Uh. Yeah.. A guy..."
"A guy??"
"Ame, I don't want to talk to about. He's just a complete stranger who I met outside a cafe. Same with Victoria, but I got to know her better."
"But, I want to know about this guy. Describe him to me."
I bit lip once more. "Alright fine. Let's say he's a beautiful stranger. He's just mysterious to me. His eyes are beautiful. Powerful almost. He has facial hair, a beard and a mustache. He actually.. saved my life from a guy who almost raped me. Then, he brought me home.."
"Where were you?" I heard Ame snap at me.
"I was just at a club with Victoria."
"Alex, you went out to a club?? And met a guy?? The man you're describing seems like he's a nice fellow. You should meet up with him sometime!"
Blushing, I didn't say anything and yawned, feeling frustrated about Ryo. "I got to go. I'm tired. Goodnight, Amethyst."
"Okay. Sleep well, sis." She hung up.
I was still thinking about Ryo.. The words he told me earlier choked me.
Change him? What was that even supposed to mean..
