She spins in circles,
while holding his hands.
Her childhood companion.
A scholar and champion.

"I am who I am and you are who are you"
She said as she wondered what next to do.
"You are unusual! You summon a strange light!"
He yelled with his friends with all his might.

They cornered her and she hid under her desk.
They followed and teased her as if she deserved no respect.
"Stop it!" she said as she was sobbing and screaming.
Shallow breathing, claustrophobic as she looks at the ceiling.

Five to one, laughter filling the air,
overpowering the weak sobs of fear.

When she finally tries to fight back,
they pull a cheat card then she's under attack.
What did she do? She doesn't deserve this.
For them, her cries are like sweet bliss.

Why then did you question, why her soul is silent?
Why her words makes no sense, but she really needs to vent?
Why she has so little friends but smiles and still plays pretend?
Where were you when her soul was silent?
