The Deceitful One runs.
Long and hard.
Their legs thick with muscle.
Years of running heavily evident.
Their arms thick with muscle.
Years of lifting their lies heavily evident..
The Deceitful One smiles.
Big and wide.
Rows of sharp teeth hidden.
Behind teeth like mine and yours.
Their lips stretched open,
Spread from ear to ear for eternity..
The Deceitful One watches.
Dilated and wild.
Hawk eyes as sharp as their tongue.
Searching for the innocent.
Crazy eyes wild and alert,
Dazed in anticipation of the hunt..
The Deceitful One listens.
Close and intense.
Zoning in from miles away.
Closing in on their prey.
Listening not to content.
Attracted only to sound.
