The Dark Room

Sweet nothings
Whispered in my ear
A slip of the fingers
A trick of the hand
My eyes are closed
And the sweat drips
Tap, tap, tap
One, two, three
Once again
Your fingers are magic
They work profusely
Here they are
Now they're over there
My body shudders
Your voice smooth
It's deep
And passionate
And it's all I hear
The room is dark
The air is cold
Your body is warm
And hot against mine
Your lips have moved
They graze my neck
Carving a path
A trail
A road
And it's destination
It is unknown
It nips
It bites
And my body
Is stone
Hands are moving
Right hand
Left hand
And now I can't tell
Your right from my left
There's movement
There's stillness
It's hot
And cold
So much noise
And yet it's silent
My heartbeat quickens
Pounding against my chest
The sound of our skin
And of our breaths
But silent is the room
The happenings inside unknown
No one to hear
And no one to know
Silent is my struggle
This man is too close
My screams unheard
His eyes are crazed
Wide and bloodshot
His words are aggressive
Obsessive and abrasive
Passion is what he believes
A truth in his mouth
But in this dark room
No truth is needed
A will
A desire
And bolted shut windows
Those will do nicely.
