It was at that moment when everything around you had stopped. You were back in the city and people were bustling about.
"What are you talking about?" You asked, your voice shaking.
Namjoon wondered if he should tell you now or wait. Now didn't seem like the best time. Anyone could eavesdrop and if the wrong person heard...well, things wouldn't go well.
Namjoon simply shook his head "I can't tell you. Not here."
"Why not?" you questioned, ready to argue.
"There's too many people around" he stated, nervously glancing around. In the corner of his eye he saw a group of girls huddled together and pointing towards them. He knew what was about to happen; he could see their cameras.
"That's a pretty shit answer." you replied, taking no notice of the girls taking pictures of you two.
"I'm sorry Y/N, but I have to go." After he spoke those words he took of, sprinting away from you. The group of girls had expanded and as soon as he ran they started screaming and chasing after him. You were so confused. Where did those girls come from? It was like they had just materialized from thin air.
You sighed and looked around. At least you knew where you were now. You only had to walk another block until you were back at your hotel. It was almost 11 o'clock when you walked into your hotel room. Jasmine and Paris were sitting on the floor playing a game of monopoly. They didn't seem to notice you walking in as they were arguing about who owed who.
"Hey guys..." you said, closing the door and walking to stand behind Paris. You looked at the game board and raised an eyebrow.
"Oh you're back," Jasmine looked up from her money and stared at you "we were beginning to wonder if you had been murdered."
You laughed "No. I just got lost."
"Ah makes sense. You're terrible at direction." Paris said, taking a hundred out of her stack of money.
You rolled your eyes and went to your suitcase, grabbing your night clothes and walking into the bathroom. Putting your clothes on the counter, you stared at yourself in the mirror. You didn't look too terrible. Your hair was a bit of a mess but that was okay.
Your gaze drifted behind you to the shower. You quite literally had a heart attack at what you saw. There, in the mirror, you could see the shadow of a man coming towards you. You grabbed the hair dryer on the counter and spun on your heel. As soon as you had turned around the shadow vanished.
"What the actual fuck...?" you muttered to yourself. You could have sworn you had seen that shadow. Slowly, you put the hair dryer down and took a deep breath. You were just tired. That's what it was. It's been an eventful day. All you needed was some sleep.
You turned on the water for the shower, testing it to make sure it was warm before peeling your clothes off and stepping in. The hot water hit your back, making you sigh and close your eyes.
You thought about that shadow you had seen. This wasn't the first time you've seen a shadow like that. In eleventh grade, as you were walking home, some sort of shadow figure had ran towards you before disappearing a foot away from you. A chill ran down your spine as you thought about that day.
You hurriedly finished your shower and stepped out of the bathtub. Grabbing a towel, you dried off then put your clothes on.
Stepping out of the bathroom you found your friends cleaning up their monopoly game and getting ready for bed. Jasmine and Paris would be sharing a bed while you would be sleeping alone.
