The next day you found yourself sitting in class, not paying attention to what the teacher was saying. There was a new kid in class and you could feel him staring at you. It made you uncomfortable and very self conscious. Was something wrong with your hair? Was your acne that bad? You tried to ignore him but his gaze was too intense.
His name was Frank. He seemed friendly enough but he just seemed to give off this weird vibe. Somehow he managed to befriend all your friends and within a week he was sitting at your lunch table. It was weird but you all accepted him. It turns out that he was also into K-Pop so he was more than welcomed in the little K-Pop group you had with Paris and Jasmine.
Tenth grade ended and things were getting weirder. Sometimes you could swear you were hearing Frank talk while you were home alone. Other times you saw his face in the window at night. It was scary so you talked to Frank about it. He reassured you that it was just nothing and that you were imagining things. Even going as far as to joke about you having a crush on him.
Dismissing it, you continued on with your life as much as you could. You didn't mention the nightmares to anyone. Sometimes you mentioned the good dreams with Namjoon to your internet friends but that was it.
Summer was very uneventful. Aside from the few programs you got into, nothing exciting happened. There was that time someone got murdered on your street but that was it. It was only exciting for a week and then it became old news.
Eleventh grade came and you saw all your friends for the first time in weeks. You had meant to get together for a party but then the murder happened and you couldn't leave your house for a few days. The party never got rescheduled because everyone was too lazy.
Lucky for you, you got all the classes you had wanted. That should make coming to school fun for a little while. At least until you got ten hours of homework a day. But you chose this so you couldn't complain.
Frank and you practically had the same schedule. It was reassuring to know that you had classes with at least one close friend. Over the summer Frank and you had gotten closer. Sometimes you suspected he liked you but you brushed it off. You didn't particularly care though because it's not like the feelings were mutual. He was a close friend and that was how it was going to stay.
                              ~
Namjoon has been searching for five, nearly six, months and he still hasn't found you. It was like there was some force preventing him from getting to where you were. Every time he thought he was close it turns out he had been following a false lead. He was starting to get scared. What if they had found you first? No, he couldn't think about that. He had to stay positive.
Currently, he was walking down a deserted street, not entirely sure where he was going. He thought about what led him to where he was now. If it wasn't for the Expedition, everything would be fine.
The Expedition was a group that despised everything related to soulmates and love. Everyone in the group had their soulmate taken from them in some way or another so they made it their goal to make sure everyone suffered the same way they did. You were lucky that they hadn't killed you but then again, this was much worse.
They had taken your magic from you. They had taken your memories, your home, everything; they then sent you to a new world. Not only that but they also sent you back in time. At least they had the mercy to take that pain from your memories. They probably didn't realize they did that because they were all ignorant.
Namjoon still didn't know how they had gotten to you. The two of you hadn't boasted about being soulmates. Neither one of you liked to brag about being in love.
He remembered the day they came clearly. He had been planning a romantic night out and when he went home to pick you up, you weren't there. Normally, he wouldn't have worried about it but the door was left unlocked and all your things were in your room. To add on top of that, someone unknown had left a strange aura in the apartment.
He looked around for awhile until he found a note stuck to the fridge. It was The Expedition telling him that they had you and instructions for what to do to get you back. He wasted no time in trying to get you back.
Namjoon was a powerful wizard so he thought he could get you back. However, he hadn't anticipated The Expedition knowing his full strength and setting a trap for him. He didn't want to think about what they did to you before they sent you away.
Namjoon thought back to his brief meeting with Rap Monster. When it had become apparent that he didn't know who you were, Namjoon realized he had to keep Rap Monster out of this as much as he could. He was an idol in this world and cameras were following him around everywhere. He couldn't compromise anything.
Walking down the isolated road, Namjoon realized just how lonely he was. He didn't know anyone in this world. He felt abandoned. He missed being able to hold your hand in his as he walked. Things about you were starting to fade from his memory and that scared him. He had to find you before he forgot anything more than he already has.
That was part of the curse. The longer the two of you were separated, the harder it would be for him to find you. In three years time there would be no way for him to find you. If things were looking more than grim, he'd risk everything and use his powers to find you. The only way to stop the fading memories was to touch you. Even if it was just for a brief second.

Junior year was a bit of a blur. Everything revolved around your classes. You had no time for a social life and you barely had the time to keep up with the K-Pop world. It saddened you that you couldn't pay as much attention to Rap Monster as you wanted but whenever you had free time you were catching up on everything you missed. Much to your dismay you once missed a VIXX comeback but you knew there was more to come. If you were lucky it'd be during the summer.
By the time summer came, you had strands of gray hair growing from stress. It would be worse next year but you were willing to put yourself through the torture if it meant you'd be successful in the future.
Senior year came and you ended up dating Frank for a little bit but after two months you decided you'd be better off as friends. Though Frank didn't admit it, he didn't want to go back to being just friends. He wanted to spend his entire life with you.
                              ~
The leader of The Expedition was Frank. He had his followers do most of the dirty work. However, this time it was a mistake because someone messed up and no one knew where you were sent to or in what form you were in. Frank considered himself lucky he managed to find you.
You were his second chance at getting a soulmate. You were a special person which is why he wanted you. He didn't fully understand how soulmates worked but he didn't need to to know that he was going to make you his. He didn't care how strong your bond to Namjoon was, he was going to get you one way or another.
After you broke things off with him, he tried to make himself even closer to you without breaking the best friend boundary. That's why when you told him that you, Jasmine, and Paris were going to tour Asia, he tried to convince you to take him with you. He was worried you'd run into Rap Monster and begin figuring things out. He didn't know Namjoon was in the world. If he had known, he would have kidnapped you and made sure you would never be found.
He tried to follow you to Asia but you didn't tell him anything about where you were going, how long you would be gone, and when you were leaving. It irked him that he wouldn't know where you were.
The truth was was that you needed a break from him. He was starting to get far too clingy and so you didn't tell him anything besides the fact that you were going to Asia sometime soon. You were planning to be gone all summer and then return for college. You were majoring in medicine and had gotten accepted to UCLA. There was no way you were going to miss out on the opportunity to go to your dream school.

After graduation, you went out to party with your friends. It was during this time when you, Jasmine, and Paris slipped away to go to the airport.
Frank noticed your absence almost immediately and tried to find you. He hadn't gotten the chance to give you a drink that was enchanted so that he'd know where you were. He was angry at himself for not getting to you earlier because now anything could happen.
