In Between (Jennxpenn, Sam, and, Kian)

Ch.4

1 week later

Jenn's POV
Sam and I have been hanging out for about a week now. I don't know if I'd call it dating though, I don't know what it is. We've been good friends for a while and it's just like hanging out except we are alone and he kisses me. But I have to say that I have been a little happier the past week and everyone has been wondering why.

Tonight I am going to hang out with the O2L guys, Andrea, Rebecca, and Alexa. It's kind of just this small get together for no particular reason.

I'm at the O2L house and just knocked on the door.

"Hey Jenn," Connor said while inviting me in and hugging me,"Almost everyone is here, except Rebecca." We head toward the living room and i start greeting everyone. I hug Ricky first. Then Jc comes over and hugs me. After him I go over to Kian and squeeze him tight. He squeezes me tighter and we both chuckle. Sam is standing by the counter and I go to him.

"I'm a little hurt you hugged me last." He said into my ear.

"Well I was just saving the best for last," I whispered to him.

"Okay," he said giggling afterward. "But I really want to kiss you right now," he said. I giggled and let go of the hug. I turned around and no one was looking at us. Good. Because that hug lasted a little longer than it should've. The only person who saw was Kian, but that was okay because he knew something was going on. Then I noticed not only did he see, but he was glaring at us. I wonder why though.

Kian's POV
Jenn just arrived to our house and greeted everybody. She comes over to me, hugs me, and squeezes me. I squeeze her in the hug also and we both laugh. Then she goes over to Sam and they hug for a long time. They kept whispering and giggling, I didn't like it. Soon after they finished hugging, Jenn turned around and then looked at me. It wasn't till then did I realize I was glaring at them, so I turned away fast. I just have this feeling that Sam is going to do something, or maybe the feeling is something else...

It's a few minutes later and Rebecca has arrived, so we start to get in the car. Connor, Rebecca, Sam, Jenn, and I get into one car and Jc, Alexa, Ricky, and Andrea get in the other car. Connor is driving and Rebecca is in the passenger seat. Sam and I are on both sides of Jenn. We all just start singing to the song on the radio and laugh at how bad we sound.

We are at a mall near a beach and we park and go in. When we are in the mall I keep seeing Jenn and Sam flirting, I can't believe no one else has noticed it. Maybe they just think it's normal because he does it with a lot of girls. But that's the thing, he flirts with too many girls and one day he is going to take it too far and hurt Jenn. And if he hurts Jenn I'm going to be hurt with her. I want to protect her.

About an hour and a half later we all went out to the beach. None of us went in because we didn't bring bathing suits, so we just walked. Jenn and Sam were walking next to each other.

"I wish it was just you and me on this beach," Sam whispered into her ear.

"Me too, because then I could get you to give me a piggy back ride and I wouldn't have to walk." Jenn replied and they both laugh. I just rolled my eyes.

While we were walking Jenn and Andrea had to go to the bathroom, so we stopped walking and waited for them to come back. While we were waiting I saw Sam checking some girl out, so I walked up to him and hit him in the shoulder.

"Dude! What the frick?!" He said turning to face me.

"I saw you checking out that girl," I said to him with a stern face, "Man I thought you were gonna stop that when you started dating Jenn!" I looked around to make sure no one could hear us, luckily everyone was sitting under some palm trees in the distance.

"Wait you know about Jenn and me?" He said with a puzzled look on his face.

I scratched my head and said,"Yeah, she told me that you asked her out on a date. But that isn't the point! You can't just date Jenn and still check out and flirt with other girls. She doesn't deserve to be treated that way!"

"Okay man, it was just a moment of weakness. And plus I really like Jenn," he said holding his hands above his head in defense.

"You say that, but I know you. You're a flirt. You better not treat Jenn like she is just some fling, like you were just curious what dating her would be like." I said and he stayed quiet. "She deserves better than that. Just don't hurt her."

"Kian I'm not gonna hurt her. And she's not just some fling to me! She is one of my best friends!" Sam said back sounding offended. I was going to respond but then Jenn and Andrea came back.

Sam's POV
Jenn and Andrea went to the bathroom, so the rest of us waited for them. While we were waiting, some girl in a bikini walked past us. I started to check her out. She was pretty hot. No! What am I saying, I am dating Jenn. Then Kian came up to me because he saw me checking out the girl. He gave me this speech and told me not to hurt Jenn or treat her like a fling. I was just shocked for a moment. Then I responded, I said that I wouldn't hurt her and she wasn't just some fling, that she was my best friend. But I don't know who I was trying to convince, Kian or me... But I just hated when people told me that I was just some flirt, I really do try to be a committed guy.

A/N I hope you guys like this chapter! Sorry I haven't updated in like a week, I just got busy and I don't like making short uninteresting chapters just so that I have uploaded something in my busy times. I like to upload decent chapters when I have time because i have like half this fanfic planned out. Anyway, please vote and comment, I like to hear what you guys think. And I will probably be updating tomorrow because I have no school. Oh and drama in the next chapter.
