"Just, wear that, that'll be fine!" Pocapell raved as we hurried down the hallway to the dining area.
"But then-"
"The saviors won't judge you about how you look." Vanessa cut me off and took my hand. "Hurry."
We arrived at the dining room and saw two men who looked like either a model or actor. Well, one of them since the other was wearing a cloak.
"Oh, hello there, Chris. Why don't you have a seat?" The man without a cloack offered.
"T-Thank you." I stammered as I rushed to the seat, awkwardly bowing and smiling at them.
"No need to be shy, you're our guest." The man basically urged me to sit, which I had no choice but to.
"So how's your time here at Aemgipia so far?" He questioned as I ate the delicious food. Seriously, they should run a restaurant, this is delicious.
"I'm glad you like it that much." The man laughed. It was then I realized I said that thought out loud.
I just sank in my chair in the awkwardness as the man basically interviewed me with the man in the cloak just overly silent.
I thanked them after the dinner and walked to my room until I saw the little Vanessa again. She was standing at the hallway, looking straight at me, smiling too sweetly to be true with her elegant white dress.
"Follow me." She whispered as she began to run in the hallway.
I ran after her, which led me to a chained, wooden door.
I looked at the little redhead who was staring at the door.
"The key... It's missing." She began to sob. "Please find it. When you do, enter this door." She suddenly hugged me and faded once again.
"Chris?" I turned around to see a confused Vanessa. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm sorry, it's just, I felt like going here." I lied. Like hell is she gonna believe I saw a miniature version of her laughing and leading me here, I'd sound like a madman.
"On a tour, I suppose?" She alleged and I nodded. "You told me I could if I wanted to." I told her and she smiled.
"Well, this room is actually very dangerous." She warned. "It used to be Nicolette's room."
My eyes widened at the mention of the dark empress. "She lived here?"
"Yeah. She and the Savior, the one with the cloak, used to be..." She looked at the door with that nostalgic look,
"Lovers."
"What?!" I gasped. "Don't tell me this is the red room... Is it?"
Vanessa punched my shoulder with a pissed off look. "You pervert!"
"Is it, though?" I asked again.
"No, you idiot. It's the room where she... blinded him." She confessed.
"Well that's expected."
She looked at me and raised a brow. "What?"
"I mean," I exhaled as I looked around the hallway. "She's evil."
Vanessa's expression looked a little pained, and looked at me in the eye.
"I'd agree, but then again, they were truly in love. She was like a mother to me." She fretted.
I stopped right then and there.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"It's fine. I mean, she's dead to me now." She sighed and took my hand. "I'm taking you to your room."
The walk back was a tad bit silent, so I decided to ask her, "Do you know where the key to that room is?"
"We auctioned it and it was sold. The Jack's have it," She turned around and looked at me with a suspicion. "Why."
"I'm curious of what's in there." I simply said.
"Well, some other time, I know the family, and I heard the daughter is a beauty." She just continued walking down the royal red hallway.
"Don't tell me you're jealous." I teased her.
"Why would I be?" She retorted.
Oh shit, Princess is jelly. Well, well.
I just chuckled on how cute this was, and gently held her hand.
"Look, you're you, she's a different person and to me, you're way cuter. Especially when jealous." I commented.
She suddenly stopped walking and I walked in from of her to see what's wrong.
I saw Vanessa's flustered red face, and I couldn't help but realize what I just said.
"How could you say that without meeting her, though." She continued to walk and tried to regain composure.
"I...uh.." I stuttered.
"Hurry up and go to your room." She opened the door with a tad bit force.
"Sleep, first thing in the morning we're going to find the key, If you're so curious about that room." She pushed me into my room.
"Just remember, curiosity killed the cat." She began to close the door. "Goodnight." She slammed the door shut and I heard her footsteps walking down the hallway
I could tell she was a little embarrassed, and so was I.
I should really watch what comes out of my mouth.
I took a quick shower and headed to the balcony.
I looked out to see the mansion's garden, which was really relaxing. A place where you can brood.
I sighed and looked down to see Vanessa.
She was still blushing, but it was a bit more faint.
She was doing what she did yesterday, but this time it looked even more fetching.
I saw the saviors looking at her, saying things to her as she did it over and over again.
I guess they're strengthening her power.
My gaze shifted to the Savior in a cloak.
He had his arms crossed.
Then I realized it was him saying things, not the other man without a cloak.
I walked back inside my room and went to my bed.
I stared at the ceiling, wondering what could be in that chained room and why the little Essa wanted to get in there.
Essa? Seems like a cuter way to say Vanessa other than Vaness.
I curled up under the covers and began to doze off into dreamland, the best place to escape reality. But I think I've found another place, A better place.
