Don't ask.

Just don't.

I don't know either, honestly.

Here we were, running away from the guards, chased in sweat, dripping off our chins and panting so hard it hurt.

Or is it asthma?

I don't fucking know.

"Vanessa aren't you a freaking Lady of Aemgipia?! Do something!" I gasped.

"They won't budge!" Vanessa was practically shoving her emblem in their faces. She looked forward she took my hand.

"That's Antonette's room!" She led me to the emerald ruby diamond door.

I pushed the door open and slammed and locked it.

"Vanessa? Christian?" Antonette turned around and raised her eyebrow.

"Why do the both of you call me that." I sighed. "It's Christopher."

"Right, Chris, you're on time! I want you to judge Alexandria in a gown she's borrowing from me." She took me and Vanessa by the hand and led us to a room filled with gowns.

"It upgraded..." Vanessa muttered as she looked and felt some of the dresses and turned to me smiling. "Mikaela made these dresses!"

"True, she said that they're all failure dresses but then again, they look really good." Antonette smiled. "Alexandria, come out!"

Alexandria got out of the curtain and looked really beautiful, saying this as a friend, but then it really matched her personality, calm, reserved and mature.

"You look beautiful." Vanessa said, out of breath. "Amazingly gorgeous..." she walked over to Alexandria and tucked a strand of hair by her ear.

"Thank you." The maiden blushed and went all taken aback. I can't blame her, a freaking water goddess complimented her. The Lady of her hometown.

"You look great, Elijah's jaw would be on the ground by now." I grinned, imagining Elijah's reaction.

"Perfect! So this may be the one!" Antonette pushed Alexandria back behind the curtain. "Change back and come back on the day of the Ball in order for you to look like a maiden of a manor!"

"She already is..." Vanessa walked over to the jewellery rack. "You kept this?" She took a necklace that was made out of water droplets.

"Of course! I'm wearing the set on the day of the ball." The golden blonde took out a ring, bracelet and a pair of earrings made of the same material. "These are my birthday presents, after all."

"I suppose nothing has changed in your favorites." Vanessa put back the necklace and Alexandria walked out of the curtain.

"I guess we're good." Antonette clapped and opened the door to guards.

"Your Highness..." The guards bowed down. "Those people have no passes, do you know them?"

"Yes, I do, please escort them out of the palace." She golden blonde smiled and motioned to us. "I'll see you on the day of the ball."

"Bye, Annette." Vanessa waved as we walked out of the room.

After a while of walking down the massive halls, we proceeded to hear yells.

"Oh God no!"

"Please no!"

"We really are visitors!"

"Miss Alexandria!!!"

We looked ahead to see Elijah, James and Jacob.

"Why're you guys running...?" I asked.
