I woke up to the sound of laughter, the kind of laughter that you'd feel delighted once you hear it.
But it was slightly pitched. It was a child's laughter.
I slowly opened my eyes to see the little Vanessa by the balcony, talking to someone.
It was at this moment where I decided that enough is enough, I'm sick of tolerating this little girl and how mysterious her aura is.
I got up and walked towards her.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Chris. It's sunrise, and I wish I could cherish it with you although we can't. I know you must go."
My eyes widened to see me, the little me. He was talking to this girl.
"Vaness, don't be sad. I'll come back tomorrow night to see you again!" The little me smiled at the little Vanessa.
"Hey." I said.
The two, startled, looked up.
"What are you doing here?! And you!" I viciously pointed at the shaken miniature version of me, "How are you here?"
"Please don't yell at him!" The small girl rushed the little boy into some kind of portal. "You have no right!"
"No right? You're disturbing my sleep!" I snapped at the girl.
She was taken aback for a few moments, and glared.
"You haven't found the key yet, either! You don't know who you're talking to, aren't you?! I'm Vanessa Aemgipia, the Lady of this kingdom!" She cried.
"I know for damn sure who you are, M'lady." I retorted, "But you're not from this era or time, so get out!"
"You're not from here." She retaliated. "Amnesiac Runaway!"
"Cocky brat!" I shot back. "How come I can see you anyway? And why was I here?! What did you do to me?!"
"You can't even remember!" She chocked. "What's the point?!"
I went silent as she cried.
"I'm sorry." Was all I could say, "Lady Essa."
I bent down and hugged her.
She sobbed and sobbed as she hugged me as tight as she could.
"Find the key." She sniffed. "Please. I'm sure the me of this time wants you to."
"I will." I replied.
"Everything that just happened was all a dream, you hear me?" My eyes began to feel heavy as her voice drowned.
