The walk out of the village was really quiet, too quiet to be exact.
"I swear to god for the past 12 hours, I feel like someone's stalking us." Pocapell sighed.
"Relax, it's probably the angst of oynins following us." Elijah tried to calm down the hot headed redhead.
"Please dont jinx it-"
Just then, oynins ambushed us coming from the trees, cutting off Alexandria's sentence.
"Everyone, get down!" Vanessa exclaimed.
"Get to your fighting stances or whatever, protect Chris!" Pocapell yelled as she shot fireballs at the dark massive creatures.
The fight was really bloody, honestly. For a really lady like noble, Alexandria fought like a person on a killing-spree, laughing hysterically while at it.
Elijah was trying to impress Alexandria, but that didn't end well. Alexandria ended up protecting him from being hit by an oynin because he just stood there in shock.
Pocapell just did her thing, which wasn't that effective but it still worked.
I turned to look at Vanessa, who clearly was angry at them, but something was off.
I looked behind her to see an oynin creeping up behind her.
"VANESSA, BEHIND YOU!" I screamed, launching myself at her.
She looked at me at surprise, but my action wasn't what surprised her.
"CHRIS!" She cried, I tried to watch her fire at the oynins, that didn't work out.
I began to black out, and that's when I realized.
I've been stabbed by an oynin.
Right in the chest.

I groaned, wondering what happened next, tried to move, but a voice stopped me.
"If you move, the pain will worsen."
"Thank god it was only a baby, if not, Vanessa couldn't heal you."
"Just relax, Chris."
"I have some herbal tea when the healing is done, along with some warm soup."
"Did we win?"I asked.
"Too early to ask that, but yeah, we won." The voices weren't as echoey and I recognized the voice as Elijah.
"You should rest, we're skating to the next village again. That way. We could just drag you." Alexandria sighed.
"I'm sorry for troubling you guys." I winced in pain when I tried to open my eyes.
"You cant move." Pocapell said.
The healing was over, I opened my eyes to see Vanessa, crying.
I was on her lap.
"Thank you... and I'm sorry...I'm so sorry." She managed to say in between sobs.
I reached for her cheek, and wiped her tears. "If you got injured, I doubt you could heal yourself. It's fine, Vanessa."
She cried harder, so I got up and hugged her.
"I'm so so sorry....I'm sorry...I'm-"
"Shhh."
"What the hell are you people, an old couple?" Pocapell asked in an irritated voice.
"What a way to ruin the moment." Elijah rolled his eyes as Pocapell.
"Chris, here's your tea. After that you could drink the soup, hurry since its still warm." Alexandria smiled as she handed the cup to me.
"Thanks." I smiled back.
"And Vanessa, here, have some water."Alexandria handed her a cup.
We just rested for a while, talking about the most random things.
Like Elijah's life at his village and sister,Elijah's old girlfriends, Alexandria's life as a noble, Pocapell's childhood, Vanessa's line of suitors, and My life in the city.
It began to get dark so we just slept.
Well, took turns on sleep.
The next morning, we walked to the next village, stayed a while, and thanked them for their hospitality and left...
Little did we know, we'd be facing trouble sooner or later that week.
