Recap:
Especially when they got drunk and I had a feeling that's just what's going to happen tonight.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••I was upstairs in my room doing homework when I heard a truck pull up outside.
"Lana! Go out there and tell them what to do." My father yelled downstairs his voice was slurred. Drunk, he was drunk. I sighed and went downstairs.
When I walked outside I saw Frank and a couple other of the workers and Ashton.
Frank has worked here for as long as I can remember. He's always cared. He's more of a father to me than my dad actually is.
"Lana. How are you?" Frank said with a big smile. He came over giving me a tight hug. I held on to him tighter. I hadn't realized how much I felt like crying until I had that hug.
"He didn't touch you did he?" He whispered quietly. I just shook my head no.
I let go of him shortly after a small tear falling. I tried to his it to make sure Ashton didn't see but when I looked in his direction he was looking at the house.
"So where's your father to tell us what he wants done today?" One of the other guys asked.
"My father is a bit occupied." I replied. Frank took a look over my shoulder and saw Nicks car and shook his head.
"He just wants the usual mowing done and a tree fell in the storm last night so if that could be cleaned up that's all for today." I said quietly.
I noticed Ashton looking at me but I just stood there trying to keep myself from falling apart. If Ashton wasn't here I probably would.
"Ok and Lana if you need anything.." Frank gave me a sad look.
"I'm ok I promise." I gave him a smile and walked inside.
I walked inside to see my father and Nick with two girls in the living room. The girls where in slutty clothes and serving them alcohol.
It hurt my father being with another woman that wasn't my mother, but I was glad they where here because they'd leave me alone.
As the night went on I sat in my window looking out over the backyard. I was scanning the backyard when I saw Ashton. Shirtless. Working.
My heart skipped a beat. Lana stop he's an asshole don't pay any attention to him. I just shook my head and closed the currents walking over to my bed.
The glow of my alarm clock said 9:30pm. I was hungry but I didn't want to risk going downstairs. The party would be starting soon so either Ashton wasn't going or he was going to go straight from work.
"Are you sure you don't want to come to that party?" Hannah texted me.
"I'm sure. Not feeling the greatest. I'll see you tomorrow ok. " I sent back.
I decided to just go to sleep and try to ignore the hunger.
"Lana." My father yelled. He was even drinker than before.
"Lana!" I heard Nick yell he sounded a lot closer than my father.
Nick kept yelling my name but my fathers voice stopped. He probably passed out drunk. I laid as still as possible in my bed hoping that he wouldn't find me.
I heard the door nob to my room turn. I took in a breath and laid there trying to pretend to be asleep.
"Lana why didn't you answer me." Nick said. Stumbling into my room towards my bed.
I laid there silent and as still as possible. I thought maybe just maybe if he thinks I'm asleep he'll leave me alone.
I felt a small dip on my head and his hand on my face.
"Come on Lana I know your awake." Nick said. I didn't have to be able to see his face to know there's was a smirk.
