Recap:
I was thankful for when the bell rang. I was tired of Ashton's eyes and everyone talking about me. I just wanted this damn day over with.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
My classes went by pretty fast that is until I had history which was my very last class. I had a love hate relationship with History. I loved it but it was also so boring sometimes. Like I can only learn about the world war so many times.
"Ok I'm pairing you up with a partner for your projects." Me. Montgomery said while looking at a list of names.
"Ok Hannah you're with Luke, Michael you're with Calum and Ashton you are with Lana."
You have got to be kidding me. I have to be stuck with this asshat for the next week? UGH! Can this get any worse.
"Your partners are going to be your partners for any history project for the rest of the year." Mr. Montgomery said.
I spoke to soon. I looked over at Ashton who had the biggest smirk m. God damnit I wanted to slap him. I hated that smirk. Yet it was so hot. Lana stop it!
I just shook my head and sat there looking at my book waiting for him to come to me.
"So what should we do our project on?" Ashton said as he sat right beside me a little too close if you ask my opinion.
"I was thinking we could do do something about Julius Caesar. Like for instance did you know a C-section was named after him?" I said not looking in his direction.
"You know I don't think I knew that." He laughed.
"well you do now." I laughed lightly.
"Is it just me or is history taking forever today?" Ashton said setting his elbows on the table and then putting his head in his hands.
"Oh thank god I'm not the only one that thinks that." I said shaking my head.
"So do you just want me to stay after work this evening and we can work on our project?" He said quietly.
"No." I said a little faster than I should have.
"Oh ok." He seemed a little hurt by how quickly I said that.
"It's not you I promise. It's just my dad's in." I tried to hide my nervousness behind that but Ashton tilted his head to the side looking at me about ready to say something when the bell rang. Avoiding his question I got ready as quickly as I could.
I grabbed my bag and headed towards my car. I already knew I was in a lot of trouble so I better not make it any worse by being home late. I walked out to my car just thinking about everything.
"So I'll see you tonight princess?" Ashton said pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Maybe. Maybe not." I opened the door to my little bug and threw my bag inside.
"Oh princess, I know you stand at the window and watch." My cheeks turned red as he smirked.
"I-I don't know what your talking about." I stuttered out.
" Oh I think you do." Ashton just smirked and walked over to his car. I stood there for a minute completely shocked by what just happened.
He saw me. He saw me at the window last night. Why was even looking towards my window? How did he know which one was my window?
I just shook the thoughts out of my head and got in my car heading home.
*At Home*
"Where the hell have you been?!?" My father screamed the second I stepped in the door.
" I had to go to school early this morning to work on a project." I said quietly while looking at the floor.
"Look at me when I am talking to you." My dad said grabbing ahold of my chin making me look up at him. "If I find out your lying to me."
"I'm not. I promise." I tried to say in a firm and strong voice but it still came out weak and small. That was the thing. I could never stand up to my father no matter what. I guess it was because I knew what he could do. I had seen it with my own eyes.
