"Tyler!" Josh squealed, running from his mom and into Tyler's arms. Josh hugged him tightly

"Hey best fren!" Tyler cooed.

Josh smiled and scurried back to his mother, giving her a quick kiss and hug.

Laura laughed at her son's excitement to see Tyler.

"Have a good day you two!" Laura waved and walked out with a smile.

Tyler instantly frowned as soon as she left, Josh becoming concerned.

"Whats wrong Tyler?" Josh asked.

"M' I going to loose you Josh?" Tyler's eyes began to weaken as tears threatened to fall.

"No Tyler. You wont.. Why do you think that?" Josh's voice cracked a squeak as he said 'why'. Josh tilted his head.

"Mama said we might move for a bit, like away from our town..M' scared Joshie.." Tyler sobbed.

"Don't be scared Tyler. My mama said when we get older all of our fears will shrink.." Josh smiled, trying to lighten Tyler's mood.

"You think so?" Tyler lifted his chin to meet Josh's gaze.

"I know so Ty!" Josh exclaimed.

"C'mon, lets go!" Tyler smiled and took Josh's small hand and ran to the group of kids and teachers.

Tyler and Josh hurried out of the doors as the small bell in the classroom announced play time outside.

"What you wanna play Ty?" Josh asked, letting Tyler pick as always because he didn't want to upset him if he picked and Tyler didn't like it.

Tyler tapped his chin in a thoughtful manner, Josh giggling at him. Tyler cracked a smile.

"How about tag?" Tyler squealed.

Josh nodded and looked over at a group of kids their age walk over. Josh picked them out one by one. Brendon, Melanie, Pete, and Dallon.

"Can we join you guys?" Brendon beamed.

Josh shrugged lightly and looked at Tyler for approval. Tyler nodded at Josh and he turned back to the group.

"Okay," Josh nodded at them.

"I can start off as it first," Brendon volunteered.

Everyone nodded in agreement. Brendon started to count as everyone had a chance to run away.

"Ten!" Brendon shouted.

Brendon started after Josh, seeing he was closest. Josh out ran him so Brendon went after Tyler, who gave a long run before being tagged. Brendon accidentally pushed Tyler down.

"Gotcha!" He squealed.

"Tyl'r!" Josh yelled and ran over to the small boy whom wrapped himself in a ball and began to cry.

"Tyler.. Are you okay?" Josh sobbed.

"Oh.. I'm so sorry Tyler!" Brendon apologized, walking close to the two weeping boys on the ground.

Josh kicked at Brendon's feet gently. "Get away!" he hissed, wrapping his arms around the hurt boy.

Brendon became mad and stomped on Josh's ankle.

"Ow!" He cried out and joined Tyler in crying as he pulled his foot back.

One of the teachers blew her whistle and motioned for Brendon to come to her.

Melanie sat beside Josh, keeping a bit of distance so she wouldn't upset him.

"Im sorry.. Josh, about Brendon.. He just wanted to be friends with Tyler," He whispered.

"O-oh yeah such a great friend!" he screamed.

Josh felt Tyler slink back at his screaming- Josh instantly regretting it. Josh placed a hand on his arched back and rubbed his back gently.

"Sorry," He frowned.

Tyler got up quite quickly and hugged Josh tightly.

"Thank you Joshie." He cooed into his ear.

Josh smiled widely and kissed his cheek gently before pulling away from the hug. He looked at Tyler's wide eyes.

"What was that?" Tyler questioned.

"A kiss." Josh replied.

"Why did you kiss my cheek?" Tyler tilted his head.

"Becuz' I love you Ty!" He smiled and hugged Tyler again, Tyler hugging back tightly.

"I love you best friend," Josh said.

"I love you too," Tyler said, muffled from Josh's shoulder.

The end of the day neared. Soon, Children were waiting for their parents. Josh watched his mother walk in and ran to give her a hug. She hugged him back and waved to Tyler for him to come over.

"Hey Tyler! How was your day?"
She asked and smiled.

Tyler smiled lightly. "It was.. Good."

She nodded.

"Ill be taking you home today if that's alright, your mother got home a little late today,"

Tyler nodded lightly as she grabbed their stuff. Josh took Tyler's hand and skipped off down the hallway. Tyler giggled and Josh's mom laughed, watching the two boys scurry to the car and hop in impatiently. Tyler was having trouble buckling up so Josh hopped from his seat and took Tyler's buckle and snapped it in place.

"Thanks Joshie," Tyler smiled.

Laura got in the car and watched the boys with a smile on her face.

Josh planted a kiss onto Tyler's cheek and sat back down in his seat and buckled up.

"Joshua, Did you just kiss Tyler's cheek?" Laura cooed.

"Yeah," he smiled.

"Why?" she asked.

Josh reached for Tyler's hand. He took his hand and intertwined his fingers with Tyler's, smiling.

"Because I love him mama."
