Chapter 3

NICO loved Hazel, but right now he hated her. She dragged him out of the house to meet the neighbors, knowing full well he won't talk to them. Maybe she wanted to make him a friend? Maybe she thought he needed some more sun (which he does)? Or maybe for the fact that He hasn't left his room all weekend and she needed to make sure he wasn't dead. Maybe all of those.

Well anyway, Nico's now in his room, blasting Twenty-one Pilots on his phone, and reading Harry Potter. That's his normal 'before bed routine'. Reading helps him get tired enough to get to sleep quickly, and the music helps calm him so he doesn't get nightmares.

Nightmares were common for Nico. Ever since the.. accident. Normally not that bad, just enough to make him uncomfortable. If they were bad, he doesn't tell people, or I guess, write it down on a piece of paper and show it to people. That's the main reason he doesn't tell, it takes to long to write it down.

His family usually doesn't bother him after dinner, except Hazel, she never passes an opportunity to annoy him. She just wants to see him smile, which he hardly ever does.

Nico realized he should probably go to bed. He turned off his music and let darkness take over him.

Nico and Hazel were peacefully walking to school until Will ran up behind them.

"Hey guys!" Will said cheerfully.

"Hi Will," Hazel said back. Nico tried to walk away from the conversation, but Hazel grabbed him by his backpack. Nico tuned out of the conversation and started to fully observe Will. He was tall, tan, and blonde. Freckles were dotted around his face and he always wore a stupid grin.

Ugh, he hurts to look at.

They continued to walk to school and Hazel and Will continued to talk. Nico ignored them until they reached the school gates.
