Maybe he wasn't good enough for her,
Maybe he didn't understand her at all,
Maybe his ego weighed more than his love,
Maybe he couldn't always make her smile.
Maybe he didn't know how she liked her coffee,
Maybe he never knew her love for books,
Maybe he wasn't kind and patient with her,
Maybe he lacked confidence to be with her.
Maybe he thought he was doing the right thing,
Maybe he had a hunch that she's unhappy,
Maybe just once he wanted to make it up to her,
Maybe all that he ever wanted was the same effort.
Maybe he'll know that things will work out eventually,
Maybe he should learn to love himself before others,
Maybe then he'll understand the meaning of love,
Maybe and just maybe, he'll find his soulmate then.
