Turmoil (War X OC)

Roses

I opened my eyes and sat up, yawning I looked around and I spotted War leaning against a wall. He had all of his armor on except for his hood and he was looking out of the cave. Everything that happened last night came through my mind and I was embarrassed  but I stood up confidently and walked up to him. He turned and looked at me with a calculating look and I pulled the cloth away from me and handed it to him. He reached out and took it with a shocked look. I turned and walked towards my suit. I felt his eyes following me and I threw a grin over my shoulder. Sure last night was embarrassing but I feel more comfortable with him. I picked up my suit and shook it and then I started the tedious process of putting it on. War was watching me the entire time but I didn't mind. Why should I mind he is my mate after all.

I froze for a second and I felt the rightness in my thoughts, my soul screamed that it was true. I blinked and put my arms in the suit and zipped it most of the way up. I adjusted my boobs and zipped it up the rest of the way. I walked over to my armor and put all but one piece on. I held the piece that was supposed to cover my upper back. It had been shoved down to make room for my wings and it was uncomfortable like that. My suit already had enough room for my wings so I put my weapon harness on and sheathed Luna and Solis. I strapped Hubris to my waist and then walked to the edge of the cave and looked at the lava below. I tossed the armor piece in and turned to War.

"I'm sorry for my actions last night but I do not regret them. Thank you for taking care of me, War."

"Pharaoh, there is no need to apologize." he cautiously stated.

"True," I gave him a small smile "After all, I AM your mate."

He froze and watched me for my reaction and I smiled at him, and his shoulders sagged in relief.

I raised an eyebrow at him "How long have you known War?"

"Since you pulled yourself out of the lava in front of the council." He twitched his lips almost sheepishly. "When did you figure it out?"

"When you were watching me, I was thinking about last night and how I didn't mind you watching me get dressed, it just kinda hit me and I knew it was true." I smiled nervously.

"Pharaoh-"

"Rose." I cut him off and smiled shyly at him, "My name is Rose."

He walked forward until he was only inches from me, "Rose.... It suits you. Delicate, beautiful, and full of thorns."

I loved the way he said my name. His voice was sexy and it made me shiver.

He continued not missing the shiver "You're not upset I didn't tell you?"

I shrugged "No, not really. I'm just a bit more upfront about feelings. It made several people run from me..."

"I won't run from you" he tilted my chin up and pressed a gentle kiss to my lips. "You are mine."

My mind was blank and I couldn't remember my name. I blinked and what he said sunk in, and I leaned forward and hugged him.

His arms wrapped around me and I murmured in his ear "And you are mine"

I felt a shiver run through him and I grinned and leaned back, he was watching me with a wry smile.

"One night alone and we know eachothers sweet spots" he chuckled and I switched topics.

"Ready to go? This time you are going to face the ground."

He grunted and I stepped behind him, before anything else I leaned back and marveled at his back side. He glanced over his shoulder at me and his lips twitched in amusement, I grinned at him saucily and then laid a hand on Chaoseater. It hummed in response and I jumped up onto War's back and wrapped my arms around his shoulders.
