Chapter 10

A/N
Okay so I was reading some chmergess fanfics and I saw a few about Laurie and Alan.. I didn't realize that was a real ship so I'll try and put more effort into it for you guys❤️😂

Alan's POV
I don't think Val and Sharna exactly think it's a good idea to ask Laurie on a date, but I don't really care. Her parents don't mind, and as long as they support me I'm good. Today's the day I'm going to ask her out. I made sure we're on the same tour bus. Everyone is asleep, except Laurie, Val, and Sharna. They're always up. I assume Hayley is up on the other bus, too. Sharna and Val are cuddling on the couch, staring at me. They know what I'm about to do. I sit down by Laurie.
"Hey, Laur."
"Hello," she says, pulling out earbuds.
I sigh and look over at Val. He smirks back. How do I approach this even?
"I have a question for you," I begin.
Val chuckles, and Sharna tries to hide her smile.
"Ask away," she smiles.
"Would you... like... to go... onadatewithme?"
"A what?"
"Adatewithme."
By this time Sharna and Val are full on laughing, and I shoot them a look.
"In your defense, we're like 10 years older than you," they giggle.
Laurie grins.
"I thought you'd never ask. Where at and what time?" By this time she's smiling ear to ear.
"The Italian place in the next place we're in? It's really good I went there last tour. And, at 7?"
"Aren't we in a hotel tonight?"
"Yep, at 6."
"Okay! I'll be ready then."
With that she gets up and goes to her bunk. Sharna and Val are almost in tears from holding in their laughter, and they let it all out.
"You, my friend," Val says in between laughs," have a lot to learn."
"Whatever," I say, getting up to sit by them.
"That was bad," laughs Sharna.
"Okay how do you do it then?"
They look at each other and then respond.
"Tell each other how you feel in a hotel room when one of you can't sleep," Sharna giggles.
"Yeah, while your friends secretly plot," I say.
They look at each other and start laughing even harder. I don't think Anything of it.
"How would you actually do it though?"
"Sharna, shall we act if out?"
"I think we should."
"Okay let's set the setting, Sharna and I aren't dating, and we've only known each other since September."
"And we have a crush on each other," she adds.
"Hey, Shar."
"Hello."
So, there's something I've been needing to tell you," He turns to me, "usually she picks up on what you're trying to say."
"I need to tell you something as well, you go first," Sharna glances at me.
"Well I know this girl, and I have this giant crush on her, and if the girl is either clueless or doesn't like you, she'll keep going on with you. If she does like you, she'll say one of two things." He says looking at me once again.
"The first being: oh really, I like this guy, too. The second is, what's she like?"
"Now let's just pretend like it's a real conversation between us, princess."
"Okay. So, I like this guy, too."
"Really. I'll say one thing about the girl and you say one thing about the guy. This girl, she has fiery red hair. It's really hot and adorable."
"This guy has curly brown hair and I love it. It's so fluffy and cute."
"She has grey-blue eyes."
"He has brown eyes."
"And then," they say, turning to me.
"You usually kiss," laughs Val.
"Nice lesson."
"Don't do that for a second date though."
"Yeah that's a big no-no."

*time skip to the hotel*

Laurie's POV
It's 6:50 and I'm dressed and everything. Sharna is in here doing the finishing touches on my hair.
"Nugget, I'll admit I thought this was a bad idea at first, but now I think you two are going to be goals."
"Thanks."
"So how long have you had a crush on him?"
"I don't really know. It just kind of happened."
"That's adorable."
I smile. I'm really excited for our date. Like, ssoooo excited. But I'm also really nervous.
All of a sudden I hear a knock on the door, and realize it's 7.
"OH MY GOSH NUGGET!" Sharna whisper screams.
"OH MY GOSH WHAT DO I DO?!"
"OPEN THE DOOR!"
"GOOD IDEA."
I go to the door and unlock it and open it. Alan stands there in a suit.
"Hey, Laur."
"Hello."
I start to walk out of the door, and Sharna stops us.
"Alan if you hurt her I swear I will have Val kill you."
"Fair enough."
And with that we leave.

She'll have the spaghetti with garlic bread on the side please, and I will have the Campanelle with Fava Beans," Alan orders.
"What even did you order?" I ask when the waiter goes away.
"I don't know, but it sounded good."
I giggle.

*At the end of the date*

"Well, nugget, we should get going."
"I know."
He stands up, and I take his arm that he offers. We old hands in the car ride there, too. I knew I liked Alan, but I didn't know I liked him this much. When we got to the hotel he kissed my hand and left. I felt like a 13 year old, and that wasn't even that long ago.
I rush over to Sharna's room to gush to her about Alan. She gushes about Val in return. We're pathetic.
