chapter four - dinner and dispatch

Jaehyun and I had headed downstairs for dinner, and upon stepping out of the elevator, we were shocked to see reporters crowding outside the front  doors of the Park Hyatt lobby.

Security guards were managing the doors and telling the reporters to move out of the way for guests entering and leaving the hotel.

Jaehyun and I had automatically avoided walking through the front lobby, but one of the reporters had seen us walk out of the elevator and had pointed us out. Cameras were flashing immediately, and Jaehyun and I practically bolted out of there as reporters started trying to get past the security guards. It's crazy how aggressive reporters have been getting lately.

Jaehyun and I headed to the mini 'food court' the  hotel had to offer, and had chosen to eat at the bbq/sushi bar.

As we had walked down and were seated, the people who were sitting and eating in the restaurant seemed to be aware who Jaehyun and I were as they pulled out their phones and were taking videos.

Being an idol, you kind of get used to it, so we didn't really pay them any attention. There wasn't that many people, anyway. Jaehyun and I had ordered meat and vegetables along with side dishes for the bbq grill and a couple different arrays of sushi. We had been seated at our own single table, with the hot grill in the middle.

Our server had come and taken our drink orders. Pink lemonade for me, and Cola for Jaehyun. He also turned on the hot grill, so Jaehyun and I just wait for the food to arrive so we can start grilling and eating.

We had engaged in some small talk, slowly getting to know each other by asking the 'basics'... you know, 'what's your favorite color?'

'do you have any pets?'

'any siblings?'

'how'd you get into SM/YG?'... and etcetera.

Jaehyun and I were talking about how he got casted on the streets by SM for his looks, not even knowing he could sing well, when both our phones buzz.

It was a groupchat created by Ahn-min containing Jaehyun, Minji, and I.

Ahn-min : good job, kiddos. You guys are trending everywhere!!!

Minji : yes, and I absolutely love it. 😍 Park Hyatt's entrance is currently swarming with reporters, so we'll be sending the security team in when you guys make your exit.

Jaehyun sends back a random emoji in reply and I text back nothing.

I do, however, search Jaehyun and I up out of curiosity.

Articles upon articles popped up, and some of the headlines made me laugh. Celebrity gossip sites always love to rile netizens up, that's for sure.
